Keys and Cutting

Ok, someone please help. I bought my 2008 tsx used from a dealership and I was only provided with 1 key and key fob. I think the car key is valet because of the v ingraved on it. Also my driver 1 and driver 2 does not work. I cannot reset my oil change. So with all that being said. I ordered a switchblade key from one of the sponsors on this site. It is milled and ready to go. I live in somewhat of a rural area and drove to the closest acura dealer (110 min) and they told me they will not cut the key and program it because I did not buy it from the dealer. Is there anyone on this site that I can send the key with my vin number and proof of ownership and get it back programmed, cut, and ready to go so i can finally reset my light. Im 1700 miles past due. haha. At this point I would pay just about anything.

Wrong forum but you can only get a replacement key from the dealer.

i know that from my experience having the key replaced takes more than just paperwork and a blank key.

seems like with acura keys you will need to have the car there at the dealership with the blank key in order for them to program it for you to your car. they will also have to know if its a driver 1 or driver 2 or both that needs to be programed.

i had to visit my dealer 3 times to get my keys done right... it usually takes about 1.5 hrs for them to finish the work. this includes them cutting a blank and programing the key... i think cutting part only takes about 15 min.

its probably best to invest a day trip for your keys to be programed at the dealership.
