Ive always been intrigued by HPS' silicone hoses. I dont know if this intake kit utilizes them but on the 8th gen civics, their hose paired with stock air box made like 5whp on dynapack dyno

someone over at the 1st gen section tried it and said its fine, just like any other intake (which pretty much is a tube with a filter at the end)

HOWEVER, he said he had to do a slight modification to fit the o2 sensor perfectly. which scares me away.

short rams are usually only for sound rather than performance...

short-rams mostly draw warm air from engine bay. get a scangauge ii and monitor air intake temprature at stock and then with short-ram. the temperature always rises. i doubt there is any HP gains. Cold air intakes are better peformance wise but you risk hydroshock. that's why i stayed stock with my intake, lol.
