Hey all..i just put in the shortram last night. Took it for a spin and VRAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMM...it sounds amazing. Theres all sorts of hissing sounds that come from it though...at idle when im moving very slowly and especially when i turn the car off. Normal?

assuming you have all the vacuum lines hooked up right--yes. it's the "giant sucking sound"..

the short ram sounds awesome tho. had one on my 98 av6 and loved it.

 

yeah like he said.. the hissing is normal... at idle it is anyway... mine doesnt hiss when i turn it off but my buddies SVT does and it sounds fawkin AWESOME....

 

Yeah normal. I hated it. That's why I got the CT Icebox. That doesn't make those noises.

 

What kind of gains does a shortram produce?

Is it made for the 6 speed?

How much is it?
