How long do you plan on keeping your TSX?
Haven't seen any new threads so thought I'd start a new discussion. How long have you owned your TSX for and how much longer do you plan on keeping it? Pretty open-ended question as to what you may want next, why you would want to get rid of the TSX/keep it for as long as possible, etc.
And for Justin, this goes for your TL.

Had my 05 (bought new) for over 7 1/2 years, sold it with 178K miles. My wife still has her 07 (bought new over 7 years ago) w/ 212K miles. Bought my 010 almost a year and a half ago. Has close to 33K miles on it and will be for sale any day now. I find that though the 2nd gen TSX is a good car, it has little of the charm and urgency to be driven that the 1st gen cars do. Plus, I'm doing much driving now, and basically don't need it anymore. I'm guessing that my next few year will demand the use of a pickup, so that's actually, probably, my next purchase.

Purchased my 06 TSX new with 7 miles on Odo. Now I have +111,000 miles and I handed it down to my son for his 16th B-day, 3/15/14. It only took him 2 week before running into rear of someone and almost totalling the TSX (air bag deployed, replace front bumper/A-Spec lip/hood, A/C condenser, seat belt tensioner, replace driver headlight, paint, etc...). I pleaded with the insurance guy and had to pay about $800 out of pocket to keep it just under the total mark.
The TSX is back to normal and I hope it last 2-4 more years. I am making my son pay me back for the damage with extra chores for the next 12 months.

I loved the 07 STI. I think I prefer the hatchback STI to the sedan version now though.
I've thought about that, but how sure are you that 4-7 years down the road you won't get bored of it and want something else?
I think one gripe I might have in the future is that I wish I had the V6 version. As for now, the 4 feels somewhat peppy and is better on gas, but I also think down the road I'm going to want more power out of my car which is why I'd want to sell the TSX. So at least you have the V6 meaning power isn't a concern.
Wow sorry about that, that sounds horrible. Is he into cars or is it just a point A to B kind of thing for him?

I just don't get it considering the alternatives of riding the bus, mom dropping you off, borrowing the family Buick, or driving some of the "death traps" most high school student cars look like in the parking lot.

Got my MY13 TECH last December, love it. It lags in terms of its technology compared to what's out there right now, but I'm okay with that. The inline 4 is punchy, the interior is comfy, and the overall styling is very nice IMO.
Since I have other priorities in my sights, I won't be considering a new car for at least another 4-5 years. And even by that point, I think I'm gonna keep her and get myself an S2000 for the weekend if everything works out financially.
tl;dr, as long as I can. I really enjoy driving this car.
PS: Only regret is not getting a 6 speed. But the S2000 in the future will make up for that.

Got my TSX for 13 month now and was 7 on the odometer, now only 9300 miles though...
Plan to keep it for 2 more years to see what cars are out there for me to trade in... but I bought Japanese brand to keep it for a while...
I love my tsx right now and if I had to replace my current tsx, I would not think about buy a german car... i would just replace with same TSX but with tech package... loving it so far )

Have had my '12 for just about two years. Have 39k miles on her (yes, her). Plan to keep her till 100k, so another 3 years, then see if the mid model change for the TLX is out by then. Will consider what to do at that time.

My 2012 Special Edition is just over two years old at this point. It's been reliable and fun to drive, but is feeling sorta dated...

Yeah Honda paint is pretty thin, it's a shame. Also another O-Town TSX, nice!

2 years almost to the day...but 43k.
Its paid for so i'll keep at least another 25-50k.
After that who knows?
Maybe a Genesis 6cyl sedan (new ones look nice!).
But my wagon still ticks a lot of boxes (roomy, great on gas, sharp, handles well) and if the seats were more comfortable for me i'd for sure keep it 150k

I bought my 2010 in October 2009, and it has about 77k miles. When I bought it, the plan was to keep it for about five years, but I now expect to be keeping the TSX for another three years at least.
I'm a little annoyed by this, because even though the TSX is a great daily driver, I'd prefer a more engaging driving experience in a smaller car, like a Focus ST or Subie WRX. Problem is, "my" car, previously a Saab and now the TSX, needs to be the family road trip machine. This is because our other car is a 2006 Mazda 5 microvan, which is absolutely perfect in the city and incredibly useful, but lacks modern safety features and is incredibly noisy on the highway, and thus isn't the best for serious family road trip duty. So, until I can also replace the Mazda, it looks like I'm in the TSX or something similar.
I will test the new WRX, because based on the reviews it seems like exactly what I'd want. If it's quiet enough on the highway and has a large enough trunk, I might pull the trigger in a year or two. I'm not optimistic though. I wish Ford would bring the ST wagon over here, because I suspect that would do the trick.
There's also the possibility that BMW will fix the entirely lifeless steering in the 3 Series in the mid-cycle refresh next year. If so, I could see getting into one of those, which could be an even better road trip machine than the TSX. Another possibility is the rumored Lexus IS with a turbo four. With 6MT, I suspect I'd take that over the BMW, but I don't expect Lexus to offer MT.
Then of course there's the TLX, but again I'd like to go smaller, not larger. I'll test it though, and I have a feeling the I4 with 8DCT will be an interesting car. If the steering is dramatically better than the TSX's (my least favorite aspect of the car) and the powertrain delivers the goods, I could be tempted.

2009 TSX with about 74k miles.
Depending on what I do at the end of the year, I'll be selling the car and have no car whatsoever, keep it for another year, or trading it in for another car, possibly a Fiesta ST or the new Mazda 2 if it's out at that time (based on the Hazumi concept).
The car has been great, has only a few minor problems (door lock actuators make a funky sound every other week or so, that trunk area metal rattle). I've pretty much only had to replace tires, brakes, oil changes for the past 5.5 years which is awesome.

Yeah for me the styling progressively got worse over time. The new one looks like a Dodge Dart or something. I did grow to like their hatchback though.

Coming up on two years I've had my 2012 now. Got it with 211 miles on it (still not sure how it got that many, but whatever) and I plan on holding on to it for at least another 6-8 years.
I had my old TL for around 5 years before I sold it (and was in my family for around 7 years before my parents sold it to me), and my old Accord for around 5 years before that. I tend to drive cars into the ground before I get rid of them, and I don't see doing any different here.
Unless I get an incredible offer of course.

I got mine May 2010 and it's been very reliable. Ive only been to the dealer once for the recall to retune the ECU for oil deposits for the manual. Anyway its only got like 30,000 miles on it and its paid for. I think after I finish paying off my one last credit card Im going to get something else, coincidentally considering a subaru, and give this to my daughter as her first car.

I had planned on keeping it for a long time, however, the new car itch is upon me. And I think for the first time since 1996 I might be saying goodbye to Honda. I want more go, I want all wheel drive and I want a manual. Honda isn't giving me this option at all, so I've been starting to Consider the Subaru WRX STi. I'm sure it won't have the same feel as the Honda's I'm used to, but at the same time, 305 HP and more grip than is even necessary, might make that a distant memory. Anyone have any recommendations? Acura is making the fun factor go away. If I were to total my car the tech package with Six speed isn't even available anymore. Not sure what to do.

I got mine in 2011 and I plan on keeping it about ~6 years before I seriously consider getting something else. I doubt I'll get another Acura sedan....maybe Lexus. I still need reliability.
