Exclamation HID problem!!

So i was driving after i changed my stocks to 6000k and my friends noticed that the left hid is "flickering" and just being weird.

so tonight about 5 mins ago, i parked my car and whipped out my camera.

i noticed that its a leveling issue not much of a flickering.
it seems like i maybe had put them back on wrong, or maybe something internal (headlights).

has this happened to anyone else?

- i've noticed the cut off issue ever since i got my car back from the shop (accident) maybe i should run it by and have them fix everything.

but is there anything i can do?

if ur talking about the left being slightly lower, then that is normal, its so that ur left headlight won't shine into oncoming traffic, mine is stock, looks like that too, normal

Not sure about the flickering but your headlights do not appear to be aligned correctly

there should be adjustment knobs somewhere on the headlight assembly to adjust the projectors. be careful not to turn them beyond their limit as you can damage it. if you're not confident doing it yourself, bring it to the dealer for adjustment.

i made sure that they werent upside down because the bulb and its outlet can only fit if they are properly inserted.

is that the turning plate that is outside of the hid bulb? the round plate on the back of the housing?

Naw. Cops in diamond bar don't care what so ever for HIDs. Everyone (EVERYONE!) has them here. I've seen multiple people with 10000k cruising.

DUDE I LOVE YOU! no homo...

so i thought the knob was the huge black round cover of the HID bulb....
BUT! i was stupid and then saw what rayden was talking about. these small bolt-looking knob that has teeth at the end.

clockwise is lowering it
counter-clockwise is heightening it

pictures of the fix...

I actually read your last name right.

Oh btw for the comment posted earlier about a member who was pulled over for his HIDs. His were STOCK. No aftermarket bulbs whatsoever.

And I do agree about how everyone gets away with the HID craziness. There's a white accord sedan (94-97) driving around with violet bulbs. I'm not sure if they're HIDs (12000K) or just regular bulbs coated in a purple film. I freakin HATE that car, especially catching them coming my direction. 6000K should be the limit. Ideally 5000K.

they still look slightly off. the "step" you see from each headlight shoud be at the same height, like so..

Code:

       ______ ______
______/ _______/
and if you back up your car a little more from the wall, they will eventually merge into a single step.

Code:

              _______________
_____________/
yours look like:

Code:

                     ______
       ______ ______/
______/

if nothing goes well, you can always take it back to the dealer and tell them to re-level it should be included in warranty...if not, should be free (since all they do is twist the thing)

ray are you sure about that? if i recall correctly the drivers side projector is cutoff lower, making it look uneven but that is the correct way so that the drivers on the opposing side are not blinded

LOL if defcon gets new switchbacks, I'm buying his old ones and I'm gonna end up having that same combination. Gonna get 3k HID fogs, leave my low beams as stock and have his switchbacks.

I may decide to change up lows to 5k or 6k though...we shall see. Every car here has stock fogs...my buddy got 2500k bulbs for his fogs and it stands out differently from other cars. Plus, I plan on going snowboarding a lot so I'm going to need more functional colored fogs over form.
