HID fogs question.

To anyone who has installed hid fogs:

did you access the fogs through the fenderwell or under the car?

and where did you mount the ballasts and igniters?

Thanks in advance!

I dont have HID fogs, i just changed the stock bulb. When I first did this myself, I had to take off the whole front bumper which was a huge PITA. Since then I changed my bulbs twice more (bulb burnt out and broke) and both times I went from under not the through the fender liner. I don't know which would be easier for going HID, but hope this info helps. Avoid taking off your bumper as it is not the easiest task to do.

I have installed HID fogs for my car. I had to jack the car up to be able to access through this underpanel of the car which gives direct access to the fog lights. basically unplug OEM connector, take out OEM bulb, and replace with HID unit. I just placed the ballast on top of the fog, no double sided sticky tape and nothing has happened.

The underbody panel was used to replace fog lights. You can refer to the owner's manual. There is little room but its enough to replace it with HIDs.

Removing the bumper is overkill to replace the bulbs or add HIDs. Like the previous poster stated, just remove the undercarriage cover, or pry it apart by removing a few clips, it's that easy. I installed the yellow fogs the same way.

I am tempting to install 3000k yellow fogs on my PWP TSX, but I wanted to see some pictures first. Do the yellow HIDs over power the stock headlights? Maybe I should stick to just yellow bulbs?

I'd like to see some of these yellow fogs (non-HID) too

No, the yellow HIDs do not overpower the stock headlights. It broadens the width of what you can see around you. I posted a thread with pictures about this before.

Thanks for the pictures, do you have any that show the color of the yellow in comparison to the OEM HIDs?

And which kit did you end up using for your fogs?

Sorry I dont have any pictures, those are the best I got. Its really hard to get the yellow with my camera.

I bought Mod Express HID conversion kit for my fogs.
