Hi, i recently purchased a set of Enkei GTC01 rims size 19" x 8.4 +42 for my CU2, and the tires they came on were 245/35/19. I'm not really liking the fitment of the wheels at stock hight so I was wondering if getting bigger tires (preferably 245/45/19s) would be a good idea and if they would rub. I just want to have a fit look without having to buy lowering springs and also not have to worry about rubbing. Thank you!

 

At stock height any aftermarket wheels are going to look goofy. With a 45 sidewall and 19's it's going to throw off your speedometer more than you'd like.

245/45/19 will fit and not rub. IIRC there was another user on this forum who advocated that size for the reasons you stated. I suggest looking through some of the old threads to see if you can find it.

I personally prefer 245/35/19 because they are the closest to stock. Regardless of which tire size chosen, however, IMHO the car looks weird in 19s without lowering. For my purposes, the Eibach springs were definitely worth it because they made the car look nicer and more fun to drive.
