Smile Heated Shifter Nob

I live in VT and I bought my TSX in December. The only issue I had this winter was a COLD shifter nob. Anyone else notice this? On my drive to work, the car is all warm and toasty, I remove my gloves and the metal part of the shifter is ice cold. Now that the warm weather is here, I need to invent a fancy heated cover that I can sell online.

You could knit it a beanie. That would solve both too hot and too cold!

Florida heat is brutal... It gets so hot I can't even put my hand on it. I have to shift with the 1in leather strip that runs around the nob.

people on other forums make them if you look around

however, a lot of the people i know just use an ipod nano cover to shield the heat.

My solution is to use the lens bag for Oakley lens. Since I have a case that holds both my sunglasses and 2 extra lens, the bags tend to just sit around.

My shift knob:

The lens bag up close:

The bag's opening can be closed/tightened if necessary:

Here it is "installed" on my shift knob:

The lens bag is black, but my cell phone pictures seem to make it look gray.

Shift nobs cover

Thanks guys, this is great advice. I have not experienced the "Too Hot" problem as of yet. I was way over thinking this. At one point I wanted to find out who makes those cute little Falconry head covers and get them to modify it for me. But I know I have a spare sunglasses bag somewhere that I can experiment with...
