Hard to start 2009 tsx - no codes

Hard Starting 2009 TSX

I've had this same issue now for the 3rd time. The starting feels very week, the car does turn over so I'm doubting that it's the battery. As a desperate attempt I pressed the gas pedal several times and held it tight to the floor and it started. I have never had to touch the gas pedal when starting honda's for the past 20 years.
This is really starting to bug me. The car will be 2 years old in June with only 26,000 kms.
Not sure if the car is saving any codes that can be retrieved. I have a code reader but haven't hooked up yet. No lights are lit up on the dash to indicate there are any issues.

Anyone else having starting issues?

Thanks for the input. I called the local Acura dealer and they suggested I bring it in. The service advisor indicated that they have had problems with batteries OEM.

Thanks for your input. Will be taking it in next week.

Cheers

No matter what they say (battery is bad or good) if you want to really fix the problem, find a battery with more "CCR" or "cold cranking amps". You should be able to find a battery that fits that will give you at least 50 more CCR than what is required.

When it comes to battery replacement, unless your goal is weight reduction, your goal should be to get as many CCR as you possibly can. In this situation, factory spec is the minimum requirement, anything more is better.

Even if you bought a brand new Acura battery, your TSX would still crank rather weakly.
