Halogen to HIDs

Hi all, I just brought a secondhand Honda Accord Euro and I want to change the halogen low beams to aftermarket HIDs. The car didn't come with the user manual as the previous owner has lost it.

Is there any instructions on how to get to the low beam lamps without removing the bumper etc.

All I know is that the low beam bulbs are H1. So I'll get 35watt 4300k HID kit as replacement.

thanks.

I just received my HID kit and notice that its a 55 watt version. Should I return them and get the 35 watt version?

Does anyone know if the headlight can handle a 55 watt HID kit or will the plastic start to melt due to the extra head generated by the 55 watt HID kit?

Thanks.

HID in Halogen Projectors = Glare

55W in Halogen Projects = Definite Police Magnet.

Ps. TSX's all come stock with HIDs.

Australian / New Zealand / Candian and alot of the Asian countries such as Singapore / Indonesia only comes with halogen on the base model.

So is it safe to use 55 watt HID or should I return them and get 35 watt HIDs?

I had the 55W kit in my Civic, never had any issues, and never got pulled over either, and in regards to installing them, you should be able to gain accress by removing the plastic cover in the wheel wells.
