I love how Cold Air Intakes suck in super heated air reflected off the pavement and people actually buy into the theory that they are getting "cooler" air.

I want to see those led reflectors in action. Mainly wanting to know how visible they are in the daytime.

Yes, I hope they don't look like brake lights at nigh. One on the driver's side woud make a great rear fog light.

if i get a minute I can light one up off the battery in the sun and take a pic.

and ceb......thats what I was thinking..... a rear fog on one side only.

where can I find a switch for the factory triple where I am only using one for traction control I think?

Drop a note to Hondo and ask him what switch they use in Germany for the rear fog.

If it works then please let me know as I'm all for that mod - depending on the wiring requirements.

Haha, you make me laugh, look from where your oem Intake sucks his air. Right under the hood in front of the engine. For sure you have cooler air than robpp.
But it doesnt matter, because your hot air is covered by warranty, or how you always name this shit!LOL

I have bought an ELM327 OBD Scanner, and will compare with some people who have OEM Intake, the Intake Air temperature, when I get the chance!
But I´m sure you go the best way with the closed Airfilter System from CT

There is one or two Accord driver who has the reflectors as 3rd Brakelight here in Germany. They use BOTH reflectors as breaklight. Me and another guy have BOTH reflectors as Rear Foglights. Both solutions are not legal in Germany, but one guy passed the german TÜV with the reflectors as Fogs. And I know ceb knows what that means, German TÜV.

Maybe ceb must help me here, not sure how to translate some words here. If someone dont understand what I try to say, then I write it in German and ceb can translate it, but lets have a try.
I switch the rear fogs (OEM and Reflectors) at the same switch as the Front foglights. One is frontwards and one backwards(dont know right out of my head, dont use them that often), on the left side from the steering wheel.
We Euros can easy get the cables or wires to the reflectors, because we have oem REAR Fogs, which you guys dont have. So I think you have to pull a lot more wires to the reflectors if you want them as rear fogs.

Where is the rear foglight normally? I wonder if US cars have wiring to that point (although I doubt it)

Why wouldn't the single reflector/light pass the TUV? The reflector should be high enough off the ground to satisfy the Straßenverkehrs-Ordnung (StVO)?

few more colormatch snaps/

i have to say if anyone is trying to match factory paint you MUST USE THE 2K CLEAR ill get a link later. its exactly like factory with 2 nice coats.

i am a bit scared to buff this stuff. i had issues with the color paint spitting dots and I put a lot of color on to make it good.

THe shield is a 5 footer....'it looks factory up to about 5 feet away'

the main issue is dust......i neglected to make a way to hang it upside down or at least vertical to dry. i laid it flat in my garage....door up and down a few times before it dried and 5-6 pieces of dirt/dust.

i will get a new shield and just send it to my painter. he wanted like 100 to paint all 3 parts plus i had to pay shipping both was so prolly 140+. i spent 50 on 2 cans of color and 20 on the clear.

so I did save 70 but now I will spend xxxxx to make iot perfect/

i can say the fog covers look OEM. they are TITS.

Here is aPic from the stick where you switch on your lights and Front and Rear Fogs. For the fogs is the inner circle on the stick.

And thats what it shows on the Display, left green is headlight, the next green is Front Foglight, and the right one in Yellow-orange is the Rear Foglight.

And this is of OEM Euro Version Rearlights. The left light in the trunk is the rear Fog (red part), and on the right in the trunk is the reverse light(white part)

Danke. That's a completely different blinker stalk (US cars don't have that extra ring) so I dount that there is the appropriate wiring in the steering column.

Anything next to the VSA button where we have two blank covers?

That is for the Xenon headlights. You must have a lightwasher, like for the frontwindows in Germany, no xenon without washer, haha.
If I had my lights on and wash my window, then automatically the xenons will be sprayed, but only once. This button is for spraying the xenons whenever you want. I used it once when my car was new, for testing it, than never again touched this button. LOL

So it is a momentary contact - not an "click once on, click another off" switch.

Do you know of any on/off switches that fit in that area?

while my bumper is off for other mods i wanted to work on my LED DRL.

I cleaned up all the wires and its all working perfect now. I have full 12v going to the lamps in daytime mode so they are BRIGHT and the Brights work. even Flash to pass seems to work proper except in daytime as the lights are laready at 12v.

so to make it work....i used the JLC resistors. i added a relay to get 12v to the bulbs in daytime mode. then i added a V-LEDS DRL corrector that takes the 3 volts and makes 12. I used that 12 to trigger my relay and turn lights on.

some pics. i need some tiny split loom so not everythinbg is covered just yet.

here are all the electronics

this is where it will live. a few strips of 2sided tape and done.
the other side just has a resistor. I attached it to the battery holder plastic cover.

once I get my paint and such I will get some detailed picwe/

i have had my bumper off since i started the icebox install.
been working on a secret project LOL

here is a teaser........

i also installed the P2R TBSpacer......prolly wasted my 85 bux but its done. no pics as its black and you all know what they look like.

I also bought the OEM sport pedals from marcus at heelToe; great customer service and a nice deal too. no pics as you have seen them as well

I also installed some slim digital ballasts and 3000K HIDs in the fogs...........i have a double secret project in the works to retro fit some ford fusion projector fogs for the tsx.......then I will have a cut off line for Ceb but for now we glare the phaq out of you all/

last thing is I cleaned up all my wiring; i finally bought some 1/4 inch split loom......100 ft for 12 bux delivered on amazon/ keep everything looking neat and as OEM as possible.

cant wait to try out my sway and links with the icebox and the p2r spacer........yeeeeehaaaaa/ hopefully this week

ok i got the fogs installed and the bumper put back on.

here is a pic of the inside of the front bumper. I have the lights mounted. I have the OPEN FOG VENTS from the V6 installed. on drivers side I even removed the baffle to get more air to the intake.

the rings are from exLEDusa

RGB LEDS

that means that with a controller I can change the color of the rings via a RF remote.

I know, im like a 10 YO LOL

I also installed 3000K HID Fogs. 35w digital ballasts.

FOGS - they need aimed yet.

semi close up of the rings in the fogs; you can also get a good look at my paint on the beak and on the fog bezels GLM FTMFW!

so then the rings....i need better shots with less exposure to see the actual rings and not the glow.......but here is what I have/

red (for Ceb)

blue (felony)

i missed green (command center) but I did get purple (funeral)

amber

the LEDs get completely washed out when the HIDs are on..........

am working on a different ring that might avoid that.

also I have another set of fogs that I am retrofitting a set of Ford Fusion projector fogs that have a great cut off.
they will use the HID components above and like these, serve as my HIGH BEAMS due to LEDs.

thanks.

i did this on my jeep and liked it. and with the rep of exLED I am pretty sure everything will last. I can still aim my fogs. the rings are attached to a stationary part not the part that moves to aim the bulb. so I can contol the HID glare some.

my plan is to make another set with projectors but that will take a little longer.

for the RGB LEDs I dont think I have $150 in parts NOT COUNTING the fogs. so not a crazy expensive mod. lots of time but not cost.

I have a remote to control them. I am adding an in-cabin power lamp so I make sure I dont leave them on. I wired to the battery so they can be on anytime and all the time LOL.

jin also has white/amber rings that could be used for parking/blinker mod.
