Got a quote, any good?

I got a quote of $27,785 for a new 2011 base 5AT. The dealer has 18 2011 TSXs on the lot, and 4 in the black/black combo I inquired about. They have no 2012s listed on their web site.

Any thoughts on the quote? I've already asked if it includes the $885 destination charge, which I assume it does not. If it does, I'm thinking it's a pretty good deal. If not, I'm thinking it's not.

Anyone think if I wait another month for the 2012s to show up I'll get a better deal?

$28,419 is the price via Consumer Reports buying service.

IMO, your quote is solid and I am sure it DOES include the destination charge, just not taxes, registration, title, etc.

In addition, the 0.9% financing offer is still in play.

Not really interested in an SE, and I don't care about 2011 vs. 2012 (no difference, right?); if I can save a bunch of money on a 2011, I'll buy one, otherwise I'll probably wait a little longer and buy a 2012 at Christmastime, maybe get a deal then when most people aren't buying cars.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

If it does, I think it's a pretty good quote, waiting for that reply though.

Nope, doesn't include the $885. I'll wait 'em out for when they have 18 2011s and a bunch of 2012s cluttering up the lot.

get a 2012, unless the 2011 is a good amount cheaper. 2012 > 2011 in resale, even though its the same car and will be the same age for you. it just sounds better in advertisements =P i rather buy an 08 than an 07 now

For 2011 model, I personally think you should get the most at Invoice price, which shown as $27,634, then add destination charge on top of it, which is $885. Then sale taxes if applied, paper work, etc.
In your case, $27,785 not including destination fee is a little high but if you don't care much then go for it.
Note: you still can try to negotiate further down, another $1K below invoice, but that requires time and hassle.

I actually got two quotes.

Dealership A gave me the above $27,785+Dest.
then, dealership B sent me $28,069 inc. Dest.

Dealership A also sent me an email saying they'd beat any written quote by $200, which brings me down to $27,869 inc. destination.

That said, I'm going to try again in another couple weeks and see if things change once the 2012s are on the lot.

Have you tried autobrag.com? It's like reverse bidding. You put in a price u want to pay for a car, and select the local dealerships around you and the internet guys from the dealerships will get back to you if they want your business. It doesn't cost anything so might as well give it a try?

Either way anything around $28K including destination is a good deal...
