Floor mats

Thanks to everyone here, I knew enough to ask for the all season rubber floor mats with my recent TSX purchase. Does anyone have any cleaning suggestions? I realize any soapy solution will probably work but am just curious as to what others use. Mine are taupe and show dirt pretty easily.

same way i clean my mats though using some soap might get more of the dirt out. Thinking of trying dish washing soap.

i use 4200 psi gas powerwasher, at only 1/4 or max power and it works great, but soap and water will do the trick as well

How well do the "stock" all-weather mats actually hold crap inside them? I was planning to go with WeatherTech mats for the winter, but the Honda/Acura mats are ~$50 cheaper... My biggest concern is the area around the gas and deadpedals - are the lips on the edges large enough to keep dirt (and eventually sand, in the winter) inside the mat?

Based on the looks in the pictures of the OEM mats on the acura website, it doesn't even look like the edges are that raised. I think if sand and snow, etc fell in it, they would stay in, but seeing as how the pedal area isn't that covered, it leaves me thinking not all of the sand and snow you wanna contain you actually fall in the mat. I think the WeatherTech ones are the most solid I've ever seen, but very expensive. I googled and found this for a pretty good price, but I'm not sure how legit it is. The only thing I don't like about the WeatherTechs is that they cover the deadpedal, and I wanna get the sport style JDM bolt on's to prevent wear and tear. I just think that combo would look kinda funky.

I put rubber mats on top of the OEM carpet mats in my ride year round. Keeps most of the grime off the carpeting and the rubber mats are relatively easy to clean.

I just bought "cheap" rubber ones at my local auto supply store. I have tan carpetting so I bought tan colored mats. I made sure that they had deep grooves to trap all the dirt.

I think they were like $30 or less for all four mats. They don't fit every nook and cranny of the floor but they cover like 90% of it so good enough for me.

I think those Weathertech mats are pretty pricey.

yes, weathertech is pricey, but it does a better job than the oem acura mats
