DRL/High beams.

Winter is coming which means lots of rain and fog in Victoria so I'm thinking of amber bulbs. Anyone know what kind of bulb is in our high beams. I'm too lazy to look in the manual.

Thanks.

Lou, did you end up doing this?

I just ordered a set of yellow 9005 bulbs for my DRL's. I'm not a fan of yellow fog lamps though, for those I already put in hyper white bulbs to match the headlights. But I hope the yellow DRL's look good since they're on by themselves.

Haven't done it yet. I will be picking up my bulbs in Vancouver in the next week or so. May get the Takeda CAI as well since CTE is taking forever to get the ice box out.

I hear ya. I'm just going to bite my lip though and hold out for the ice box.

I'll take some picks of the DRL's for you when I get the bulbs.

Do you have a pic straight on without the parking lights on? The parking lights being on is distracting.

9005 right? so that means that the DRL is the high beam bulb on just at a very low setting?

I don't know about where y'all live, but here, if you run blue or red bulbs in anything (other than tail lights, duh) you'll get pulled over in a second.

(I call that hanging doughnuuts, you know, like from your rear bumper...COP bait.) =)

Same rules apply here in NC, and it was the same in WI when I lived there.

i dont think they will say anything here in md. as long as its not something that distracts the eye like flashing lights.
