door lock actuator

Hello everyone,
I bought a 09 tsx in march and recently I've started having problems with the driver side door not locking or unlocking with the remote.

I think its the key lock actuator. I called the dealership around and they said Acura don't sell just the actuator, I will have to buy the door lock kit with it which the cheapest I can get got $196 and 120 for labor. it sounds like a lot of money to me.

Is there an alternate route i can use. buy an after market actuator and fix it my self.
I searched around and couldn't find an actual DIY for 2nd gen. can someone please help me with this?

thanks

You could try a used actuator. I've had success in the past with www.car-part.com
