Do you agree TSX just a expensive version of Accord?

I never own Accord before. I don't know how the ride and build quality are in comparison between Honda Accord and Acura TSX. Is a TSX really better product than an Accord or just a expensive brand?

I check www.honda.com.au They do sell Accord Euro (our TSX) and Accord (same as US Accord). Guess what Accord Euro is cheaper than Accord. Here we pay a lot more to get TSX which is cheaper version in Australia. same thing in Japan. Accord (TSX) is cheaper than Inspire (US accord).

Would definitely disagree. I love having a car that when I stop at a stop light, there are not 5 others exactly like it waiting there for the light. I also feel its higher quality materials, but maybe thats just me.

If you compare the TSX in the U.S. market to the Accord in Europe market, then yes, they are pretty much the same.
If you compare the TSX in the U.S. market to the Accord in the U.S. market, then absolutely a no.

Well said.

keep in mind even that the euro accord has the potential to be way MORE expensive and has a bunch more options than we do

One of the biggest differences that I notice between the US Accord and the US TSX is the quality of leather. The TSX's leather is much softer than the one used in the Accord. Even though I am comparing a 2009 Honda Accord EX-L Coupe, I believe the leather used in the coupe is the same as its sedan version.

Some of the Accord/Inspire in Japan and Australia are imported from USA (Ohio) as well as Thailand, whereas the US TSX and Australian Euro Accord are made in Japan.

The TSX is slightly more upscale than the U.S. Accord. As noted above, the leather is a little better quality. You also get more electronic gizmos and the dash gauges are snazzier. Lastly, the TSX looks a whole order of magnitude better than the Accord. I do wish there was more of a powertrain separation between the 190 hp 4 cyl in the Accord and the TSX's 200 hp 4cyl. They are essentially the same engine with different tuning. The TSX's base powerplant really ought to be Acura's 2.3 liter turbo 4. With that 245 hp and 260 lf. ft. of torque, the TSX would really cook - and be a more premium offering.

I find the TSX to be what is called a sleeper because it is not in everyone's driveway like the Accord but it is a superb vehicle in so many ways. Not to mention the Accord does not come with the ELS surround system which is amazing.

I went from a 2005 accord, to a 2008 accord, to a 2010 TSX. I also own a 2010 accord (wife's daily). The tsx is quicker, quieter, has much higher quality fit and finish, etc. The biggest difference I've noticed is the handling and overall comfort of the car.

It feels nothing like the Accord in my opinion. I also agree with all of those who state exclusivity as a plus. I had two of those boring mainstream accords in the driveway up until a month ago. My driveway looks a lot more balanced now!

My mom owns a 08 Honda Accord V-6. I use that car when I visit her. My 06 tsx has more standard equipment and is alot more fun to drive. My mom does not drive much so I try to take her car or it would be staying in the garage. The acura has a longer warranty.

Nice changes, Killer.

I dunno about the exclusivity. More exclusive? Yes. But the TSX is still a $30,000 sedan. Not rare by any stretch.

I don't see too many TSX's in general in the Orlando area. I do see some more lately though. I think the car does stand out on certain angles, howver I think it blends in too much with the Camry's and Accords with the computer drafted designs that they use. I wish the car was a little more radical with standing out sometimes. I still think it's one of the best looking cars in the price range on the road. You do catch people looking over at a light sometimes. I think those are the true people that appreciate cars. There are people that don't give a care at all about cars and you can see them driving. They don't even look over at anything. Not sure how you can't appreciate a sexy vehicle like the TSX. It would be really cool if a two door coupe came back with 240hp or higher in the 4 cyl.

Test drive both and see which one you like. I checked out both and the Accord was similar to what I was coming out of. I'm not one for name brands myself. I just like what I like, and I thought the TSX was a better car overall. The accord is bigger, but I don't need the room and for almost the same price the TSX was nicer. A lot nicer? No. But nicer where it counts to me.

Also remember the American TSX isn't a base model Accord Euro. Its almost the fully equipped one. I think the only items you can get in various countries which you can't get in the american one: CMBS (collision mitigating braking system), LKAS (lane keep assist), ACC (adaptive cruise control), headlight washers, and power folding mirrors. Otherwise it has all the other options. The only options here are manual or auto, tech or no tech, v6, and wagon. In the US we can't even get cloth seats...hence the price.
