Disappointing Mileage 10' TSX 4-cyl
#41
Cost of driving a car 28 miles at current premium gas prices: under $4.
Ridin a bicycle or walking 28 miles at my rate of food consumption would equal about 3 or 4 sandwiches. At today's prices of $8/sandwich, that journey would net $24-32...AND processing the animals in those sandwiches would have polluted more than the car....AND the materials for those sandwiches is transported by truck....AND the store selling those sandwiches uses MASSIVE electricity, which comes from fossil fuel.
DISAPPOINTED still, OP? Surely, you jest...or there is just no pleasing you.

Thousands of man hours and millions of dollars of R&D has gone into making this car exist. As well as transport of the gasoline to the station and the man hours and cost of equipment equipment it took to refine the one gallon of gas.

You can't discount the other side of the argument with only a $4 outcome.
