CU2 Accord factory shift light??

So I remember seeing a youtube video when I was first looking at 2G TSX of a Euro CU2 that had a stock-looking shift light built into the tachometer (where the AT indicators usually are).

Google is bringing up nothing.

I looked on youtube again. Although I can't find the original video I'm thinking of (I recall it being more steady and not having the red gauges), this video shows what I'm talking about:

Thoughts? Can this be had?

EDIT: found a couple more videos showing what I'm talking about

Also, I wish our MID showed the symobls instead of text for each function (e.g., picture of a car --> gas pump instead of "distance to empty" or whatever it shows in the USA MID).

Come on - almost 50 views and no one has seen this before? At least tell me I'm crazy and it's not something that we can add to the 2G TSX 6-speed!

Well this is actually the first time i"ve actually heard of it. It does look like it will work with a 6-speed. My only concern would be if there is an extra computer or wiring that can be adapted to the TSX.

What are your thought?

I literally can find zero information on this. My first thoughts are confirming that it is indeed a shift light and that it's OEM equipment.

Next questions would be part #'s and if if it's just a simple plug and play or if additional electrical work is needed.

I didn't know the euro version had that indicator. You won't find that in north American cu2s. I'm gunna say this won't be possible for you, even if you bought a euro cluster, your ecu would have no way of relaying the information to that shift light since that function is not available here.

If I may suggest, just get a HUD. It's much cooler and you can set when you want your shift indicator to come on.

I will admit the shifting lights are cool. My bro's IS RPM gauge turns orange when its time to shift and then red as you approach red line. But honestly I don't think it's worth putting extra money out for a feature like that. After you drive some more you can shift gears correctly by just looking at your speed. I only look at my RPM gauge if I'm being an idiot and want to rev high for no reason.

^ I looked into getting lights that slowly changed color when approaching red line... too much money/wiring/rice outcome

Agreed. Almost everything shift-light-related on the aftermarket is pretty ricey IMO. Which is why a clean, OEM indicator inside of the tach would be nifty.

And no, it's not because I don't know when to shift. Just thought it would be a cool, subtle add-on.
