$26,178.59 (market value) +$2,159 sales tax + $134 (unused registration) = $28,472 - $500 (deductible)

Payoff $22,726 to lien holder (honda)

$5,745 paycheck to me.

They said I can use this for whatever I want.

defcon if you go to the same dealership, im sure they would. you had a tsx from them, you already have an rdx. you were making all your payments and everything was good. and they got paid either way because of the insurance company i guess so they shouldn't hold that against you, especially since it was only technically your fault. tell them you just want your baby back haha

forgot to add, its best to never put a down payment for exactly this reason., on my lease of a '10 I4 base, i got the taxes and everytyhing rolled in, plus they paid first month so i only have to pay 35 months, but if anything happens before the 35 months are up, you don't lose your entire down payment, since theres still part of it left to be payed in the months that are left

i dont think ill be leasing. ive read that its bad to put a large down on a lease.

i might just use some of it for a down or none at all if im able to finance

Good luck defcon. With the restyle TSX on dealers lot, there should be some good 2G TSX out there for you.

Going through that auction site made me cringed... so many damaged TSX.

Went to a junkyard on saturday.
Could not help but wonder if some of these people made it out alive.
the whole time, i was looking for blood stains and what not.

Yes, dealer screwed up a part that I needed.
returned the part, and went searching at the junkyard.
Found an unscathed brake line that goes to the master cylinder to the VSA modulator.

Dude...the "convertible" TSX looked like it tried to go under a huge truck trailer...and lost...Hollywood movie style.

i don't get how that is totalled... doesn't look like there is frame damage, the bumper is even still intact. replace the bumper, entire trunk, taillights, maybe a few other internals, should be good. frigging brand new 100k car. if it costs less than 50k to fix it, its worth fixing it lmfao

...and this is interesting. I didn't know the TSX had this feature where it records what RPM/Speed you were going at the time of the collision. Neat...
