camber spec is same on both side, but does not look the same
so i got another alignment today after changing to my smaller tires and raising the rear a tad bit. both my rear camber are at -2.1 now
however, when you look at the car, you can clearly see that the driver rear is more flush than the passenger rear. a bit of the tire is sticking out of the driver's side while the passenger side seems to be not showing tires. (from lookin straight downward on the fenders)
what can cause this? is this normal? something to do with my fenders or tires?

just went out for a drive, the driver side seems to poke a little more than earlier now, but not nearly as much as the passenger side still.
should i run uneven camber to make it look even? or just leave it alone.
someone told me something about the subframe may not be perfectly "straight"

Gain a little weight and your camber will be more on driver side. Problem solved.

That is so weird! I dont know if this is common but people have said the same thing about my rear camber. They will make a comment like, "seems un even," but I just brush it off cause mine is not nearly as noticeable as yours. My fenders however are pulled. Hmmmmmm I dont know if running more camber will fix this problem though. It seems like this is a matter or pokage not slantage. lol

^ exactly, and the thing is, my passenger is poking more than driver, and so it actually seems like the driver has MORE camber than the passenger, thus having the allusion that one is poking more than the other.
i didn't really have that problem with the 255/35's though. my friend did mention one time that one side tires sticks out a tad bit more, but only very little so i brushed it off as well.
now im starting to worry, did forgestar sent me different offset in the back!??!

Check your coils, make sure fronts l/r measure the same and do the same for the rear. I've seen people lower ther cars the wrong way and that's by just measuring from fender to ground can't do that do to 99% pavements are uneven
Btw you might think the car sits even but it might not so try doing what I said above

My first thought was the difference in offset, too. Swap wheels left to right and see what happens. Do not run different camber settings right vs. left, it will be unsafe.

hey op i think we should visit that west end alignment in gardena.. i heard they align your car really good they do corner weights and adjust your coil overs even if one side is a hair lower..im thinking MAYBE we didn't lowered are cars right?? they said that, that may cause the problem that we are getting right now. they said that we should talk to darren he supposedly is one of the best.

when i adjusted the coils, i measure the coilover sleeve itself to make sure both sides are even. i'll see what i can come up with...
and i heard good things about west end as well. quite a drive for me though lol, i spent too much on alignment already :/ maybe i'll wait till i change to new tires then i'll think about doing another alignment

Put new wheels on last week and notice the same thing. 19x8.5 with 245/35 tires. Alignment specs are the same on both sides. Driver side is perfectly flush, but passenger side pokes a slight bit.
Trying not to think about it, but I'm too anal not to notice. No idea what it could be

This. For what it is worth, I previously owned a 2002 Maxima and a bunch of us in that community were all trying to figure out a similar phenomenon as well - the driver side rear wheel was always more tucked (ie. appeared to have higher offset) than the passenger side. It was more obvious when the car was lowered, and even after recentering the rear beam, it did not change. No definitive evidence, but most concluded that was just how they were made. Sounds like it could be a similar scenario here, especially if many are seeing the same thing.

Maybe the axles don't have a very tight tolerance... I mean we are realistically talking about 3~5mm here.

The sample here is tiny, three people by my count, having the driver side more "flush", so my opinion is hardly conclusive of course.
Just my two cents.

Maybe, for some reason, shit happens during manufacturing/assembly/whatever that causes one fender to be slightly smaller or larger, so it sticks out a little less or more, so looks uneven on one side?
I have no idea what in talking about....

It wouldn't be a tolerance issue as much as a design "idiosyncrasy", like a bias in one of the components that is repeated consistently, which is why you'd see the same problem on different cars. If it were a tolerance issue, I would think it would be more random - we'd see some people with the driver side poking more than the passenger side, some with the opposite problem, and some just flush.

Just do it yourself... cant be that hard.

It isn't. But time consuming and takes patience. I just don't the time and its over $200 to buy a roller. Easier to pay a "professional" to do it.
Good luck finding a "professional" anything when it comes to cars in this city.
