Brakes and Rotors - Please Help!

I'm sure this post will stir up some people telling me to do a search, but I have searched for the answer on here extensively and I am having a very hard time finding the answer. I need to replace the front rotors and brakes on my gf's 2nd gen TSX, ASAP. I'm trying to upgrade from OEM rotors, without having to buy slotted rotors. According to some of the forums on here, it looks like the '08 and '09 have the same rotors from what I have read. Not sure though. Been researching for a few days. I just put Brembo rotors and Akebono pads on my BMW and they work great. Just can't find flat Brembos for the '09 TSX. Is there another aftermarket for the 2nd gen that would work that is for everyday driving? Any help would be appreciated. I need to order these things tonight if at all possible.

Thanks!

Did you contact our vendors, such as Heeltoe Auto?

I have been looking for some as well. I did find a set on Stillen's website, I haven't called them to see if they fit for sure. I can tell you that the part factory part numbers are different between the 08 and 09 models. I even checked the new 2010 TSX V6 model, they use the smae brakes.

Thanks for letting me know. I've done brakes and rotors on many cars and have never had this much trouble finding a simple after market rotor that isn't slotted or drilled. I called a dealership here in Northern VA yesterday and they wanted $400 for parts and $200 for labor. That's without tax of course.

I guess they just don't have many parts out because the car is kind of new still. But I'd venture to guess that they will be the same as the 1G, and in that case, the Brembo blanks will still work fine.

FWIW, my Power Slot slotted rotors have held up great for the last few years. No problems to speak of.

At any rate, I'd stay away from the OEM brakes. Not too many fans of them here.

Thanks. I will check into it more today. I definitely am staying away from the OEM brakes. Found some Akebono's for her car. The ceramic pads have been great on mine. I've dreven about 500 miles on them so far and barely have any brake dust on my wheels. Actually drove about 450 highway miles this weekend and not much dust at all. The rears, that still have the OEM's on them, are much worse. The Akebono's have pretty good stopping power with the Brembo's, but I'm also very happy about the fact that I don't have to cut through an inch of brake dust every week to just see the wheels!

Yep, the brake dust was more of a problem when I still had the stock pads on. Now I have Hawk Ceramics and there is less dust.

I wanna get some new rotors too..any reason your staying away from the slotted or drilled? I hate the rust thats always all over it. Those hawk pads sound good too...the OEM pads really give off an insane amount of dust .
