Baseline Dyno Finally
So as many of you know, I had my car dynoed before at the Acurazine dyno day a couple months before but VSA sensed that the rear wheels were not moving, so VSA kicked in even though we turned it off. Anyways, this time, we had to make the computer think we were driving, so we got to third gear slowly. So did three runs, first two on Sport Mode and the third in D. I was very surprised with the numbers. For hp I got 165.1hp, which I was expecting. But with torque, I got 221.9 @ 3300 rpm. I have a video but it wasn't the actual dyno but was recorded when we were trying to get it started. Anyways dyno was done on dynocom. Temperature was around 82F in SoFla and humidity was around 71F. So AT TSXers, here's a general idea of where our cars are.
I cropped my dyno sheet into three pictures so its easier to see.
The "All Jap Cars" Shop Civic Si pushing over 700+hp.

wow so this is with no engine mods at all eh? Do aftermarket wheels affect dyno tests? Also are you A/T or M/T? And how is it possible to have 221lbs torque when acura lists our cars for 172?
Sorry for all the questions haha. Great post though, I am sure alot of people will refer to this info in the future.

yup completely stock. No, aftermarket wheels affect dyno tests. I'm a A/T. As for the amount of torque, I have no idea. Like I said, I was surprised with the numbers.

haha thanks for the response. I see now that you indicated you have A/T in your 1st post but I just didnt read closely enough. Your dyno video doesnt work for me

Interesting...
In response to the V6 Dyno...

(232 HP)@213 Lbs of torque...
I guess the added weight of the V6 engine weighs it down THAT much. Compared to a 4 cyl. at 222 lbs Torque, and ability to rev higher I might think twice about trying to run the little brother, 4 banger from a light to light now.

Yea, could be that it wasn't calibrated. but the other cars that were on the dyno were putting down numbers that were relative to what they would put down. I've had trouble just trying to dyno this car because of the VSA issue. Our cars are too smart for their own good. Well the next time when we have another dyno day, I'll try again and see if I put down similar numbers. But heh hopefully I can get some performance mods done. A reflash from Hondata would definitely be nice and then the basic mod route I/H/E...

No I'm not debating whether I'd be able to take it. I'm just stating I'm quite suprised that the V4 had that MUCH kick off the line considering it's giving up 70WHP, that is if this is an accurate representation of all TSX's V4 A/T. Granted, this was the dyno for A/T, I'm sure a V4 M/T would really be a fun match.

I forget where I saw it but I remember reading that 2nd gen TSX's have 184whp or something around there. I remember this number because I also read that civic si's are supposed to be at like 187 or something. Perhaps both of these numbers are inaccurate...

The dyno test done on TOV is for the 6MT and the hp was 179.79hp while tq was 162.05tq. so I guess the torque is wrong for mine, they maybe didn't calibrate their stuff or what not. But the hp is about right since AT has the 20% power loss compared to manuals.
