Backup camera black screen (Tech Package)
Hello I have a 2010 TSX (Tech Package) when i put it in reverse my screen turns black, I checked fuse and camera plug and they look good.
What can the issue be and how to fix? Thank you

This is so simple you probably know it, but just in case you don't -- When you put the car into reverse, you can adjust the brightness of the backup camera by turning the big knob in the middle. I thought mine was going dead until I realized this some years ago.

Hi I wish this was the issue, but I tried it and still no luck. It stays black when I put in reverse and when not in Reverse the screen works as intended. Just no back up camera.

So it sounds like the screen isn't likely the culprit. I'd be focusing in on the camera itself; if you've already checked the plug, then it's possibly the camera itself that's bad?
Admittedly, I haven't messed with mine, but I did get a cheap backup cam off amazon and they all seem to have similar designs as far as the camera unit wiring is concerned. It might be worth a couple bucks to get one off amazon to see if you could wire in the new camera and see if that's the culprit. Then you could determine if you want to get an OEM replacement or just scab in whatever cheapy you get.
