Anyone here gone from 3G to 09 TSX Manual?
I am really considering trading my 2006 TL for an 09 TSX, maybe wait for the2010.
My TL 5AT with currently 57,100 miles has been trouble free since day one. Of course I have always done the regular maintanence. (knock on wood) For anyone that has gone from the TL to the TSX, how is the ride comfort of the actual seats, as I find the TL to be very comfortable for what it is?
As far as the manual trans, if compared to that of an integra GSR, which I owned for 285,000 and found to be very responsive and shifted smooth as butter, how would you compare it. Or is like comparing apples to oranges?.
I also keep on reading how the TSX is having the pinging issue, or is it not as bad as it is for some of the TL TYPE-S owners ?

I don't have a TL-S manual but I do drive a friends regular TL auto from time to time. I'll just give you my quick thoughts...
I know some of my own posts are mainly about negatives, but I do like the TSX. It is slightly smaller on interior space than your TL, but I think its actually nicer. I didn't like the hard plastics, especially on the dash of the older TL or TL-S. The TSX dash is a hard foam which I also have in my Nissan. After two years its still in top shape. Rattles are minimal, almost non-existent (hence why the pinging sticks out so much). Overall I think the new TSX is BETTER than the older TL and pratically identical to the new TL. I was shopping for a late model TL-S when I bought my TSX. I didn't like the TL-S. The interior is a smaller, slightly cheaper version of the new TL. The suspension is more comfortable than the 06 TL...its softer and less detailed thans a TL-S (but a bit bouncy when the road gets rough). From what I remember the seats are more comfortable than your TL-S, maybe a bit more form fitting.
The transmission is buttery smooth still. It goes with the likes of the Civic Si and most likely your car as well.
The pinging issue is bad because Honda doesn't acknowledge it yet for the most part. And there's no fix. It sucks not knowing whats wrong...if anything.
