has anyone done an ipad mini mount in our tsx that isnt bulky? here are some ideas...

 

No, but there has been a Nexus 7 attachment before.

I want to keep stock headunits though. Unless it can be done where it goes on top held with magnets but I've seen those only when the radio is sunken

 

Oh then that may not work for you.... as for the lower area in the third pic. I've taken apart the dash to see if a screen will fit. You can fit a 7" screen in there, with a 3/4" bezel all around.... the iPad won't fit though.

 

I thought about putting my Nexus 7 up top, and moving my display to the cubby below. Going to be a lot of work so I probably wont do it.

 

That actually would be pretty easy, but reaching that far to touch the nexus could be annoying.

 

or maybe some some kind of magnets to hold it
