Anybody thinking about the 2011 TSX Sport Wagon?
I've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 2011 TSX before making a decision on what my next car will be. I've seriously looked at a 2011 Outback 2.5i Limited. Yes, a radically different car than the TSX, but it brings a lot to the the table (AWD, great fuel economy, a lot of utility for the buck) for about the same price than the TSX. However, there's a MAJOR "shimmy" issue on 2010-2011's that Subaru has yet to resolve. Accordingly, that will likely keep me away.
I now have it narrowed down to the 2011 TSX Sedan, 2011 TSX Sport Wagon, and a 2011 Accord EX-L.
Anybody else seriously considering the Sport Wagon? Obviously, Acura hasn't released a lot of information yet, but I'm assuming it will be within $1k of a sedan.
Consequently, I'm hoping it will have just a bit more leg room in the 2nd row of the wagon. However, I'm not holding my breath. (Thus, that's why I haven't taken the Accord off the list.)

I was, but decided it wasn't for me and have a deposit on something else (RDX). Decided I wanted AWD and a higher ride for an easier time loading and unloading cargo. I have a bad back, and my 1G TSX has been hurting me getting heavy things in and out of the trunk. Also bought a house and just have a lot of stuff to haul around pretty regularly now.

LOL, I'm really excited to get an additional .05 sales per month...

2010 TL AWD 6MT: New King
The TSX Sportswagon offers more utility/cargo space than its sedan counterpart, but IMHO that's where the advantage ends. But if I were to seriously entertain the TSX wagon from a family perspective, I would want AWD and a little higher ground clearance for the winter. If it had SH-AWD (and the AWD doesn't intrude obnoxiously into the interior), I would entertain trading in my TL for it.
If I were to view the wagon from a sports perspective I want the SH-AWD system and a V6, while a SH-AWD/V6/6spd MT combo would be even better.
The TSX Sportswagon without SH-AWD, without a V-6, and without a manual equals a no for me right now. If one day Acura offers such a product, sign me up
As it stands, I would look at the RDX or MDX instead; or if I were to really want to get a wagon, I would look at the new Outback. For a no frills practical CUV/SUV, I would look at the CR-V or Pilot.

after Acura decided not to sell the turbo/ AWD version (which they built by the way and some people even got to drive) I decided not to buy one. A heavier TSX with no extra power and only an auto? no thanks

They built a turbo and AWD version? I would like to know where you got this information.

The turbo AWD was demonstrated at the Acura owners conference. Dennis Furlong, who is an expert acura mechanic and does modifications for people out of his house www.i-modify.com actually drove it. He said that acura decided the price point would be too high, among other things. But it was built and driven. I think there was a V6 version but I can't be sure on that.

im baaaack!!
im actually gonna trade in my 05 RL for a red tsx wagon. I love the accord tourer wagon version. i dont mind going back to a k series motor. Mugen aero kit, tein ss suspension, some staggered 19"s or 20"s and a rotrex supecharger should make her awsome.
Heres some pics for you guys!

The new accord tourer wagon is a great and beautiful car, not that much room in the back, but who cares, for me it would be enough. In Germany they tested the wagon with trailer, the result was No.1 of all tested cars. Here is the Link, its german, but who is interested!!!
