Any V6 owners ? How do you like the TSX V6 ?
what are you wanting to know?
are you trying to compare the v6 second gen to your i4 first gen?
moving to the 2nd gen, you're going to get a bulkier and heavier car. the same i4 thats found in your car is found in the new car. it wont feel the same, as the car is heavier and wont be as tossable as your current car.
so then, you move up to the v6. which produces significant torque over the i4 model.
if passing is important to you, well the bigger engine is easier on passing....
i totally dont know what the heck you want as your thread is super vague.
tell us a little about yourself and what you want out of a car, and then maybe some one can chime in with the exact answer you want

The V6 is a lot of fun. Plenty of power(for me at least) when you want it. As long as you don't mind shelling out the extra cash for one up front and paying a little more at the pump. I still get ~33mpg on my trips between cities which I am perfectly happy with.
A++ would buy again.

I love mine, and like justin said... the torque curve is amazing, no hesitation at all when accelerating. I came from a 8th gen accord so I know what is like to have the torque less 4 cyl.
I only wish it had better brakes

v6 owner here. Love the car. The power and acceleration is very impressive for what it has.
In fact I think it feels quicker than my 2012 shawd tl. The tl just feels sluggish across the powerband.
The brakes on both cars suck in OEM form. when i got the v6 tsx the brakes were completely due for replacement so i went ahead and replaced the discs as well as pads.
The new brakes are amazing, it almost feels like the brembos I had on my lancer evolution.
Gas mileage is fantastic too despite being a v6. I can average 30+ mpg on the highway with cruise control like another member also posted above.
The only thing left to improve is the suspension as i feel it is too soft for me comparing to the shawd tl which feels firmer and more planted.
The TSX is very plush over rough roads. I barely feel the bumps.
Had i found another v6 tsx when i was shopping for another car for the wife, i would have bought another v6 tsx. I ended up getting the TL which is nice, but the v6 tsx does everything just as well, plus gets better mpg.
Good luck with your search, if you can find one I highly recommend it.

Looking up the curb weight, the difference is only 125lbs more for the 2nd Gen.
Here's my iCrap response. "Yes. Good"
I kinda wish I had the V6, but it was so hard to find one used and even harder with a black/black combo (within 100 mile radius at least). The 4 is peppy, but I was ashamed when my friend's GTI smoked me from a roll, although that's expected from a lighter car that has turbo. While I think the V6 can compete with the highway MPG of the i4, how is it in city driving?

also, the way the OP asked the question in the original post will net biased answers toward the v6 tsx..
who the heck will say; I hate it.....?
no one will.
thus why, I was trying to get OP to expand on what he's looking for.
is he in the market for a new/used car? is there something that he loves about his 1st gen TSX that the 2nd gen doesnt have?
what the heck does he want??
again, no one will say its a horrible car.

Yes. Good, you're welcome
Although the "you're welcome" is technically two words, I couldn't think of a one word answer that would have the same meaning.
hi all, new member, I bought my 2012 v6 tech here in Toronto, well actually the Dealer was in a nearby town in Burlington over the i4 in August. The only car I had, and still have now with the wife is my '00 Integra! So next car I said had to have loads of tech and good power, got to be a 4-door to take te folks and others this time.
I don't regret getting the v6 over the 4-banger, although the 4 I think had more then enough power, but was dead set on v6 to get it out of the system. Hopefully it lasts as I'm planning on keeping it another 5 years thanks to the CPO program, and extended bumper to bumper I got (because of all the tech in the car). I probably only get to take it out half of the time, and the wife takes it the other half, i don't mind since we still split the Integra. If your in the market for the TSX, i say get the tech for sure, and the v6/i4 really is personal preference, be sure to do more HWY driving vs City if you get the v6 though.
Enjoy!
P.S. I've gone over all 93 pages of this forum before posting, been reading many threads relevant/interesting to me before and after buying the car. Loads of info on the site!

It's awesome. though there are many mods out there for the v6.
I found the stock tires to be useless.. might want to upgrade your tires for more grip.
The body does sway. Maybe get a RSB, I have not yet, to correct it.

Just purchased a 1-owner 2010 TSX V6. It is a nice car and recently got up to 34 mpg highway on a trip. These are very hard to find used in my area.
The brakes were getting tired, replaced with new Centric premium grade rotors and Akebono Performance brake pads all around, also flushed the brake fluid. The brakes feel like they should, what an improvement! I found 1 right rear calliper pin frozen up with rust and rear inboard pads jammed tight due to dirt & rust build-up behind the shims. Cleaned them up good, removed the rust and repainted them with Duplicolor engine paint. regreased and they work great again!
The rear pads & rotors were previously replaced by at an Acura dealer out east a few years ago, look like they never checked the slider pins, the rotors /pads looked pretty bad after only 15K miles.
Will be installing a Progress rear sway bar in a few weeks

City I got around 17mpg driving normal. 14-16 if I'm hooning around everywhere lol. Most I ever got for highway was 32mpg I think, but for my commutes to and from campus I get about 20-25 depending on how I drive
As some have already stated, brakes are iCrap and could be better. I'm running Tein Basic coilovers and the ride is perfect for me. Car is a lot more planted and cornering is decent. We do tend to get quite a bit of understeer if you do push it, but for everyday driving mixed in with some spirited driver here and there it does fine stock. Also as someone stated, the OEM tires are iCrap as well, especially when the road is wet.

I really hate the iCrappy brakes though. I feel they are even worse when the A/C is on, not sure if there is a correlation there.
If you would stop being a 27 years old prick. Just maybe he would expound as you put it. Only thing wrong is "How do you like the TSX V6 ?" that should have been in with "Thanks for your opinions".
Do you own or have owned a V6 TSX??
FZ427~ we are nine years apart, so it is safe to say you have passed the young dumb full of cum stage. So here's some opinions from a 40 something old guy who owns a 2013 V6 tech PKG TSX.
I bough the car new September 2013. It was the only new V6 TSX in the State of Florida at that time. Back in March of 2013 when I was considering the V6. Autotrader.com shows that there were 19 new TSX V6 within the USA. I called a couple of local dealers to find out on new stock, but was told they will not order anymore. Reason being, it was too difficult of a model to sell. And you could get a bigger
TL for less. This was not hard to believe since my TSX sat on Coggin Acura lot for 10 months when I bought it. This is the reason why the V6 TSX is so hard to find. Even harder to find is the non tech PKG. So from 2010 to 2013 not much TSX V6 were sold nationwide when compared to the Accord V6. I would be willing to bet next to zero 2014 year models were sold. Anyway, as mention by other V6 owners. The car handles great for everyday commute! But when pushed hard some small faults shows up. Brakes & rear end yawing are the two most obvious ones followed by the stock all season Michelin tires. The rear end yawing seems to amplify the front end nose dive. A 19mm rear sway bar should balance the car out nicely. The OEM spec Bridgestone tires from the V6 Accord coupe, should also enhance the handling without sacrificing ride quality. MPG wise, I get about 24-26 combine, my AC is on all the time. I recently moved to Georgia and getting that doing the hills, mountains & twisties. So about 375 miles per tank.
Now onto the brakes! This is one that really gets me annoyed with Honda/Acura. This car in Europe & Japan comes with larger brakes & twin piston front calipers on the 2.2L & 2.4L models. Hell even the diesel version got bigger brakes than the TSX V6!!!!!
. How much bigger............ try 320 mm on the front & 304 mm on the rears. Compare that against the 300 mm on the front of the V6 TSX
!!! Overall I really like this car. It makes a beautiful sound when you get on the gas! The V6 makes traffic merging/passing a breeze. And it is pretty mean off the line too. Fit and finish is tops! No rattles & buzz, the seats are very supportive & firm. Outside of the brakes, rear sway bar & OEM Michelin tires, there is not much to complain about for a spirited driver.

Cali had the most followed by Ohio, then MD & Chicago! Florida, New York, Texas, Virginia & Colorado were the others that had stock. The one in NY at Paragon was the last one up on autotrader about 6 months back. There is about 9 CPO on autotrader.com at this moment in time. If you add use to the mix, three pages of them will come up.
