Any one else here from Canada

I recently bought my TSX (Toronto, ON). The car drives great, although, the stock tires aren't too great and the taupe leather stains very easily. My fav feature is the bluetooth and ipod integration.

Any other drivers from Canada here?

in all seriousness, its a great car, but i wish we got the U.S price (w/o having to pay extra for the auto transmission)

My wife has a Premium 6MT without any of the extra goodies other then the protection pkg which consist of all weather floor mats, trunk tray, and mud flaps. She paid $35K and I think that was before taxes. I have a friend who lives in Seattle and I saw the equivalent of her car with Aero kit for $29K USD at the Acura dealership.

My car wich is a 6MT Tech with Aero kit, complete interior trim kit, and body side moldings was $43K. Which now that I think about it is, in my opinion, a ridiculous amount of $ to spend on a car.

hello fellow Torontonian!

Congrats on your new ride. I'm probably going to be in the market sometime this year. Acura's going cheap on the incentives though and I'd love to have the incentives we had back in Dec 08. How did you manage to get a premium for 30k before taxes?

Must feel pretty special to drive this around since I don't see a whole lot of 2nd gens around the GTA.

No it does not. It only covers the dash trim pieces and the bezel around the steering wheel. Which sucks because I think I saw a photo with the ebrake and door handles black as well. Like so. The add even says it has door handle covers.

Langley BC here. I got my CBP Tech 6MT back in June 08, the dealer couldn't locate a black/ebony 6MT Tech model in BC and ended up shipping one from Red Deer, AB. I am extremely happy with it, at least with the current exchange rate of 1.25 the 6MT Tech will cost about US$31,200 which makes it more comparable.

Hey theabstract, congrats on your purchase. Which dealership did you buy your TSX from? I'm a sales rep at Downtown Acura in Toronto. The boxing week sales were seriously nuts - incentives all over the place. There's still incentives now, but not so like around that time. Mod edit--- No advertising. Thanks.

For a couple weeks there before Jan 5th, there was $3500 cash rebate, $1500 Conquest Dollars if you were coming from a competitors' brand and Loyalty Interest Rates for current Acura customers. You'll see these current incentives disappear soon as there aren't any more 09 TSX's being produced at this point.

Congrats on you new purchase Mwing. Are you ordering any paint protection package with the dealer, if not, I don't see why you can't wax right away.

Hey, you must be the Craig who handed me the keys to my TSX when I went to pick it up... and the one who told me about the $3,500 cash rebate when I called to ask about getting snow tires on it for when I picked it up... Grigio/taupe 5AT tech... remember me? lol

btw everyone, as if it isn't obvious already, I live in Toronto. So another canuck here.

Actually, let me add a bit more to this thread.

I've only seen two other '09 TSX's in TO...

1. A few weeks ago I saw a (polished metal?) TSX coming down the hill at Pottery Road (I was going up the hill when I passed it)

2. Last night or the night before (can't remember exactly) at around 6-7pm I was driving behind a (polished metal / grigio / black? not sure it was dark out) TSX driving on the QEW eastbound into TO.

Sound familiar to any TO TSX owners? Might it have been you??

After 8 months of ownership, I've seen maybe 7 or 8 TSX on the road in Metro Vancouver. Not a big surprise as Acura Canada only sold a total of 1099 vehicles in Jan 09 and 587 of them were the heavy incentived MDX, the remaining 512 were split between CSX/TSX/TL/RDX and RL.

Add another T.O. owner. 6MT, Premium, Polished Metal. I don't see too many 09 TSX's around and I love it.

yeah it's pretty hard to believe that we're coming up to a year of sales of this car and I can probably count on my two hands the number of them I've seen here in T.O. and that says a lot cause I do a lot of driving around all parts of the city and surrounding area. Wonder when the sales will pick up??
