8000k is tacky, especially on our cars. Plus you cant see shit with them. Good luck.

I was going to comment that you can see the glare in his daytime photo but I didn't want to be the bad guy.

You should at least give him a little warning about how he'll be attracting cops...but it's his car....hope he can afford it.

I hope you're ready for all the negativity.

Just know that 8000k has reduced visablility
And will potentially attract some asshole Police.

Not everyone goes for 800k, Understandably. But if we all followed eachother
every car would be the same. Mod to your taste

bulb color/temp won't affect the projector's cutoff if that's what's you're suggesting

8000k is worthless

Did you guys remove the bumper for installation, or went around it?

When I changed mine to 5000k bulbs, I had to remove the bumper, and the headlight housing as well. Unless you are very familiar with the assembly, and you have small hand with strong finger (you'll need quite a lot of force to turn the cap off), otherwise I would recommend you to do the same as me.

It's always bothered me how everyone bashes someone for doing something that goes against the standard grain. Your paragraph summed it up perfectly.

If dude got 8k lights and likes them, more power to him. I'm sure his car stands out from the crowd.

Its one thing to stand out by getting something like tiffany blue rims or an excessively huge wing spoiler. Its another to have headlights that are both illegal and annoying as shit when they are driving towards you or right behind you. At minimum I would hope he keeps the cutoff at oem height so he only annoys half of the people he drives around instead of all.

yes i removed the bumper to install the lights, i suppose you "could" install it from the top but you'd have to remove the battery and have very small hands to make it work

^ it would be from beneath the bumper for the fog lights. There are access panels on the underside so you don't have to remove the bumper if you have a good lift/jack to get under the front end. It tells you how you're supposed to do it in the owner's manual.

Absolutely right if you're just changing the fog light bulbs. However, if you need to secure the HID ballast in a good location, you will likely have to take the bumper off.
