2nd Gen HID is not bright at all

I was just wondering about our HID. I Have 09 Tsx/tech. A friend of mine has 04 tsx. When We parked side by side with headlight on. I strongly felt like my HID is not brighter than 1st gen's HID. His 04 Tsx is whiter than my 09 Tsx. How come. It suppose 4500K stock HID for all Tsx. why his HID is whiter than mine. His 04 Tsx is all stock. Dose anyone feel same way like me?

i also noticed this but then came to realization that the 04 ones seem "brighter" because it is aimed higher. for one thing, our second gen's may light up the ground more because more light output is aimed towards the ground. but when looked at directly the first gen's is more bright because its aimed almost right at eye level. if you bend down a little bit and look at the second gen's projectors you will also see that its just as bright but aimed at a lower level. hope this helps. and correct me if i'm wrong.

The TSX projectors are amazing and our HID's come a beautiful white. Ive never heard anyone complain about the TSX headlights (1st or 2nd gen) so dont worry

the reason i notice this was b/c we both park on driveway with headlight on. we both aim headlight to white garage door. I can easily tell his HID is whiter than mine.
Anyway, not big deal, just wondering, b/c always feel when you purchase next gen products, it should be better than pervious model or maybe not. haha

Thanks all inputs

You are probably only seeing the variation in lighting between bulbs from the bulb manufacturer, not anything Acura did different between the 1st and 2nd Gen.

Our HIDs are something to write home about. Whenever I drive past another 1st/2nd Gen TSX my 17 year old eyes are blinded and I think "WTF is that?!"...and then I realize what it is.

Only difference I'm aware of between the 1st and 2nd gen is that the projector lens on the 1st gen is a clear lens whereas the 2nd gen is a Fresnel lens - but this should only affect the cut-off and not the output as far as I'm aware.
Technically a 1st gen should have a sharper cut-off with more color when compared to a 2nd gen.

I don't see any difference between my 2004 and my 2010.
