Everyday I'm rofling
Sup Nerds,
Just wanted to tell everyone I still have my 2011 TSX that I bought in summer 2011. Haven' even broken 100k miles yet. It's been incredibly reliable and the only non-regular maintenance thing that I've done is replace the alternator twice. Looks like these forums are pretty dead lately....so many good times on here back in the day.
Warm Regards,

I purchased my 2009 new and like you really happy with the car.
Just turned 305,000 Kms today.
At 226,000 I replaced struts and some other suspension parts. I was bored at start of Covid and made it a project.
Other than oil changes a starter, transmission oil dump and fill I don’t do much.
I’ve been looking at cars for a while but nothing they currently make interests me.
Acura went through this silly stage of button gear shift which I just couldn’t get over.
cheers

I did the single biggest upgrade the car need to make it modern for my taste. I replaced the tech package infotainment system and upgraded to wireless Android auto and retain the HVAC visual function. Yep, the forum seems to be dead these days. The good old day were great, fond memories for sure.

I just crossed 140,000 miles in my 2012 wagon.
Thanks for this! What head unit did you use? Are you happy with it?

I'm using the Kenwood DDX9907XR. I'm very happy with it, a gigantic upgrade over the factory tech package the car came with. The only thing I missed from the factory system is the volume knob. But no great loss since all my steering wheel controls still works.

I look into a newer car here and there, but as a daily this this is still solid and reasonably fun to drive, plus used car prices suck. The next car I'm predominantly looking into include the Lexus RCF (although a bad option as a daily because of the MPG), M340i, C43 AMG, M3/M2. Not sure if I'm ready to move onto the more expensive maintenance required for those cars, maybe minus the RCF since is reliable as a Lexus.

I too still have my 2011 and have 91,000 on it. My AC compressor was leaking around 60k miles, so I had that changed and then recently I developed a vibration present at 35-40 mph. Turns out it was the axels. I preventatively changed the shocks, water pump, serpentine belt and tensioner.

If your car is a tech package update to the YouTube setup below. This is by far the single best upgrade I've done to the car.

If you can find a way to supply it with 8 volts only. Otherwise its best to replace it. The still image below is the Kenwood CMOS-740HD High Definition Rear Camera mounted in the OEM location. This video illustrates the camera in action.

2G TSX Vibration
Picked up an 09 TSX 2.4L with the automatic just under a year ago with 110k miles. Ever since I got it there's been a noticeable vibration at the steering wheel but its an intermittent issue. At random when coming to a stop with the vehicle in drive and foot on the brake pedal the steering wheel will vibrate so much so that you can see it moving up and down. I've taken notice that it seems to only happen whenever the vehicles rpm is at its lowest point but the second you put it in park or neutral the vibration disappears. I've been up and down forums trying to figure out what is actually causing this and the most common answer is to replace the front vacuum controlled engine mount. With that said I installed a new OEM front motor mount along with the vacuum control solenoid and no luck. Another recommendation was to change the ATF fluid which I did 3 times in the span of a few months but that wasn't the answer. Some other notable repairs/service include recent valve adjustment, tune up, intake gaskets, air filter (K&N drop in), and all engine mounts/transmission mounts. The more I drive the car it's almost if when the A/C or heat is turned on everything is good which tells me the engine isn't struggling under load. In one thread somebody mentioned that A/C compressor clutch can be locking up but there is no signs of this. Had the A/C system recovered/vacuumed down and recharged and works flawlessly. One thing I've stumbled upon that is a possible cause is the radiator fans/rad bushings. With the problem only occurring when rpm's are low the vehicle must up to operating temperature so its very possible that either the high or low speed fan could be out of balance/damaged. I haven't inspected the fans just yet but I did come to notice the radiator bushing are not holding the radiator tight and it can be moved pretty easily. The only thing that doesn't really make sense is that the fans must be running when the A/C is turned on which would eliminate this being the cause. At this point I'm super curious as to what is actually making this happen. Some reported newer model Acura's/Hondas with the 2.4L having vibration issues with as low as 30k miles. Hopefully someone has an answer or advice on this. Going to be replacing those radiator bushings and inspecting the fans soon so I'll come back with an update if that helps.
Currently having issues with both my cv axles seems like a common issue with these cars. Got a quote for almost $900 for replacements from raxles. Did you replace with OEM or go aftermarket? Funny enough I was also looking at eventually upgrading to an RCF but car prices definitely are out of control. Although 2015's are going for about $40k and that's still a lot of car for the money. Only drawback for me would be the rwd in the winters and mpg but I've heard some say it's really not that bad if your easy on it.
