Honda Discontinuing Accord Euro In 2015, No Replacement Coming | The Motor Report
GG
Umm.. WHUT? Acura TSX?
"To be honest, we’re a bit disappointed in the global decision for it to be discontinued,” he added. “If we had our way, we would definitely be continuing down that track."
"They’ve launched the Acura TLX in the US, but that’s left-hand drive only," Mr Collins told TMR.
"There was some speculation that this could be the Euro replacement, but it’s definitely not."
"The fact is that because the Euro was not sold in the US at all, the lead market was primarily Europe and that segment is declining, so ultimately that led to this global decision."

I mean, obviously things have changed no doubt. But I think if they continued along this route, the next Euro Accord would have a lesser chance of being a fuck up.
The TSX (1G and 2G) both were developed and produced in Japan no? I mean, if there was a new euro accord, I thought it would likely be based on a JDM type of development, not something American like the TLX.

I think you were setting your standards too high. It's a car for the masses so of course it's going to be a little bland.
I guess I wouldn't know about how it drives until I test drive one.

Many early buyers of the TLX (that post in the TLX forums) are experiencing issues with their car. Many are blaming the DCT.
Poor Honda/Acura
edit
okay I don't know about many, but I've seen at least a few people on the board complain about it. One guy is already trying to get rid of his lease after driving the car for only about a month.

They have the potential.
IDK why they didn't use it. They could've easily made something great. Keep DWS, add a turbo to the K24Z3 and cut down on weight, add SHAWD as an option and it could've been pretty nice imo.. Then keep the higher V6 trim, but add DWS and cut weight, and add a type S trim.. And quit toning down the styling.. I like the way our TSXs look more. If I had the choice between my TSX or a base TLX, I'd take the TSX everyday. Only thing about the TLX I like more is the 8 spd.. Everything else.. meh.

Well I already sorta have a HAI with my resonator off right? I think sticking it down futher would lead to colder air being drawn in.
Also, one of my friends was messing with the intake resonator on his car, he ended up taking it off and in doing so unplugged and replugged the MAF sensor. He said after he took it off his fuel mileage seemed to drop a lot and the CEL stayed.. He put the resonators back on but the CEL stayed. I told him to reset the light since it's probably on because he unplugged his MAF.. It wouldn't be anything serious right?

All I can say is there is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes that the public never gets to see. Of course everyone knows this, but what I can say is that American Honda listens to your opinion. Writing letters and making comments does in fact go a long way.

I guess it still is kind of a HAI .. yeah. you could do the pod filter coming off the bottom of the airbox then. Or just some pipe which goes lower into the bumper but then you run the risk of water getting in.
