I actually went through 19 pages of your thread yesterday after reading this post... Haha. The first half was me looking through it to find where exactly you did it (page 8 I believe) and the other 10 or so pages I was just like what the hell, might as well. The rest from there after I think I was on AZine and had already saw most of.

Three conflicting posts, just what I needed, lol. To be fair, I've also heard the removing process is fairly easy as long as you use 4-5 coats, not sure what happened in your case OP. So am I supposed to top it off with a clear coat, now I'm not sure...

The rustoleum "flexi dip" shit sucks my cheap indian friend bought it on sale at the depot cuz it was cheaper and that shit sprayed out like silly string, so thick it was harder to keep an even coat on something as small as an emblem smh.. Stick with the original since it's the same price as the generic when not on sale
Literally everything they were carrying in the isle was rust-oleum besides two rows for the Plasti Dip. Lol, so the funny thing is I went with a friend and he asked the guy (who had came up to us and was telling us they had more plasti dip in the front) which one was better and he was like, they're both the same. He was cool though, he wasn't forcing rust-oleum down our throats, actually told us Lowe's carried the other kinds of plasti dip lol.

I was going to stick with the original "Plasti Dip" from the beginning since it's well known, I know rust-oleum is just trying to jump on the bandwagon with Plasti Dip now since the market has grown for that product.

Thanks for the tip on the alcohol, I'll look out for it next time I go out.

thanks. as far as visibility how is it? the place i'm looking at for my car is charging 650 for the bumper, fender, and part of the hood. i want to get a couple rock paint chips repaired first. hopefully this week.

DipYourCar did a video on putting regular clear coat over it and they had a hard time peeling it off.. i tested it on some scrap metal and had the same result. Use the plastdip glossifier as a top coat.

Also, before you spray, warm the cans under hot water for a few minutes, helps it spray evenly MUCH better and you get a better / smoother finish.

i need some help.

i bought a nice classic car. has AM radio.

need some help adding some discreet audio and not spend a ton of money.

i want to leave the dash radio as is.

the good thing is I have lots of space behind the seat.

some limitations:
my phone has no hard drive so just loading music to it wont work.

i guess I am looking for something like an iPod doc with amp and speakers that i can power from 12v.

i will get a proclip mount or similar to mount and charge my phone. I can mount from under dash. but has no HD and data plan kills streaming.

i currently do not have any spare devices to use as a HD or iPod so that has to be bought too.

well if you want to leave the dash as-is then why not put an amp under the seat (or wherever there is space) and wire that to the car's speakers, then plug in your iPod or phone to the amp? So bypass the existing radio entirely.

factory is ONE speaker in the middle of the dash.
and its 10 ohms.

and yeah thats what im looking for. a ipod dock or ipod and amp and speakers that all can be powered from 12v. dont go near the factory radio.

I have room behind or under the seat for plenty of stuff. am looking for ideas of actual items that will run on 12 v adapter.

iCrap, can you recommend any good all in one products? I am a lazy ass that can not go through with 3 different products. I'm reading XMT360 (like damaged mentioned) or Klasse AIO. They're also a lot cheaper than one 8oz bottle of Wolfgang swirl remover for $28...

An answer within 20 hours would be appreciated so I can use the 20% off + free shipping from AutoGeek.

I understand that you can go the route iCrap did and use several products that will give a much better final result, but as a noob at this, I don't want to overwhelm myself with a 3 step process. Plus as long as I can get the paint 70-80% corrected, I'll be happy with it for now. I've seen some before and after pictures that are still impressive to me for a one step process.

the meguiars micro fiber pads along with the finish product would get you the same result and I think for cheaper/ when you price the pads and the stuff.
