Probably not. Stockies are only going to be on my car for a few months of the year when its "cold" here in the winter. I bought summer tires for my new wheels.

So apparently someone complained that my DA polisher was bothering them on Sunday. Now I can't wash my car at my apartments anymore because it's apparently our community policy. I've been washing my car in the same spot every week for the past 2 years. I've been fighting with the apartment admin all morning.

I like being really close to my office though. And a few other co workers live in the same area so it's convenient to hitch rides if my modding ever gets in the way of my car being driveable the next day.

I am thinking about moving to another complex in my area. They make stupid rules and my AC unit is undersized. I have to wait until December though which is pretty much forever.

Time to go over the contract you signed and look for a car washing specific clause Take those whiners down with their own legal mumbo jumbo.

I read over my lease and nothing in there says another about washing my car. There are a couple sneaky lawyer things in there that translated are: "You can't do these specific things listed below, or anything else we may want to think up and tell you you can't do." The wash part is in our "community policies" which I have never seen or been given. They are going to leave a copy for me on my door later today.

It doesn't at all. I really shouldn't have drawn attention to myself using the DA polisher since it made a lot of noise. I guess it's better that they didn't tell me I couldn't work on my car in my parking space, which I'm sure will happen before too much longer. I'm pretty sure the policies left on my door will say something about that.

I wonder what will happen if I say fuck it and just keep doing it. Do you think I'll get a final warning if they happen to see me? Or will I get evicted?

wasting water, chemicals in the soap, seeing him naked on a sunny day.(the proper way to wash a car is naked right?)

theres plenty of BS reasons to say that whatever someone is doing is causing a nuisance. now you can stoop low and bitch about something they do, or tell them that they are restricting your rights and imposing laws that cause undue hardship and/or harm to you and/or your property. your car is your property, inability to wash it yourself causes you to have to waste money at the local car wash which cuts into your families food budget and also requires you to spend more time at work to compensate for the monetary loss which is producing undue hardship on your family because now your wife, dog, child cannot see you and cannot be taken care of, so you have to spend more money to hire a second husband, dog sitter, babysitter, which in turn causes you to spend more time at work to compensate for that, which is causing you health problems from working too many hours in a week. also shorter story, you can wash your car, you have to take it somewhere, there is nowhere around that can handwash your car without inducing swirls and scratches, therefore your cars paint is being damaged.

yes, i am a bad person =)

We pay for water by occupancy and square footage. I'm actually not sure what the exact issue with it is. I think it may just have to do with not doing maintenance on your car on the property. The manager just said saying no "because its our policy". The naked thing was only once, and everyone loved it.

I thought about spouting off a bunch of semi existent reasons like how I'd have to drive at least 20 minutes to a friend's house if I wanted to hand wash (which I actually will have to do). But all these just made me feel high maintenance and whiney.

Just don't be a super douche and start "revving" your DA polisher in front of the complainer's house.

I won't be using the DA polisher ever again in the parking lot. Management was bitching about the washing part of it, but never gave any reasoning behind it.

No idea who the complainer could be.

housing authorities (proper term escaping me right now) are just full of bitter fucking old people who literally have nothing better to do than grief those around them

thats one of the joys of home ownership but unfortunately even for that there are certain communities where you can get fined if you dont follow these fucking peoples rules. home ownership associations? names really killing me

ugh. this is what happens when people who spend their whole lives getting pissed on when they get the slightest amount of power. abuse.
