Horrible battery life. I recorded about 30 minutes of footage in 720p at 60fps with wifi on then let it sit for about an hour or less with wifi off(I think I was charging it too). Took it out with me to dinner and after fiddling with it for like 10 minutes it was dead. Like wtf yo?

Battery heats up like crazy for no apparent reason when idling.

Preview in the app is useless. It worked the first time when I first unboxed it. Then it just stopped. Later on I figured something out and it worked for a period of time. Now it's just a black screen.

PC connectivity. It connects when it feels like it.

Charging. Without buying a third party charger you'll have to use the gopro to charge your batteries which I find to be pretty absurd if you want to charge one and use the camera with another battery.


So far I've been more pissed off at it than enjoying it....
I got the Silver Edition. Apparently the Black Edition has even more problems.

Also the lil LCD is useless in the dark. I had to tilt it at my room light to see it

Yeah, it was an impulsive buy since parents said they would get me something and I made a deal to pay part of it. Should've read reviews first but I figured with how good the the rep of the Hero2 is, the Hero3 should be if not the same, atleast better. But I guess I was wrong

Tried to read reviews, hard to find bad ones. Only thing I really see complaints across the board about is the battery life.

 

The wifi, yeah, that's an issue with software for now. Hopefully they fix it soon :\ They are aware of it and are working on a fix atm.

Battery life is the main issue lol if you do get one and dont want to get the extended batter BacPac thingy I'd recommend getting this and a few more batteries. at $11 a piece that sure beats the GoPro batteries by $9 and 150mah. I might see if I can return the two I got and spend that money on these lol

On the GoPro forums the Black is just know for freezing, but I think there was just a batch of those that did that.
