When i lock my car, it is a very low sounding beep. i dont have anything to compare it to, besides the two courtesy cars i have had from my Acura Dealer... both were TL's, and were about 2-3 times louder.

Is this normal for the TSX, or can this just be my car?

Yea, it's really quiet...to quiet. I can't really tell if the car is locked without being close to it.

its normal, my tsx likes to whisper out cuss words and gets censored discreetly .

^ defcon, I think it's a setting in the MID, among the other settings such as how long to leave the lights on, how long for the locks to re-lock, etc.

If you can locate the piezo buzzer (beeper), you should able to replace it pretty easily with a louder one from Radio Shack. Probably just 2 wires. I've done this on other cars.

Good question! Unfortunate answer. I've had to walk back to the car to check. It also looks like the light flash pattern looks the same on both lock and unlock---could be wrong though.

Also why no beep you pop the trunk? Given that you may pop it by accident and it doesn't open all the way, you could be driving down the road with a trunk flapping open and closed.

Page 80 of the 2011 manual... basically hold either the up or down arrow on the steering wheel (on the bottom right side) until you see the menu, then click around in that menu.

The MID will give a warning if the trunk is open... it's a little picture of the car with the trunk open.
