I just bought a 2012 SE 6MT and just joined this forum a few minutes ago. Can I confirm that the steering wheel buttons are not illuminated? I could not find any reference in the owner's manual.

hi, beside the manual, the search button is your friend. just as a warning, we mess around, ALOT. but this is one of the best communities around(we're just that funny, expecially ceb, if he says anything about warranties, its a joke. and we just ignore killerG, hes tryin to be a dentist, like fuck that kid right?)
anyway, as far as i know, the steering wheel buttons are not illuminated

like i said, we just ignore KillerG. im actually one of the best plastidippers around

 

they are not illuminated... but i believe they do GLOW in the dark.

 

SE's dont glow? Mine, and as far as I remember all others, light up but it is very faint. The led is also green, not white like the rest of the dash. I opened up my steering wheel and took off all the buttons a while back.

 

I just checked and you are correct that the buttons do glow but not as bright as the other switches. I should have looked closer before I asked the question. I just brought it home a few days ago and didn't have a chance to drive it at night yet. I appreciated all the quick responses.
