2011 TSX Sedan/Sport Wagon video

Cool video of a 2011 TSX Sedan transforming into a Sport Wagon.

http://acuraconnected.com/2010/10/26...ransformation/

I'm starting to like the 2011 sedan design over the current front design.

Nice videos above. Very nicely done commercial, and very creative.

The 2011 grill IMHO seems much improved and definitely less obnoxious than the 09/10's. From certain angles at the start of the commercial, the 2011 front end reminded me of the 1G style (which is a good thing).

Dam Acura for introducing the "Power Plenum" fiasco in the first place.

I think the difference in the 2009/10 grill vs 2011 grill is minute, a subtle distinction that most non-Acura fans will not notice. The general population will still either hate it or love it (or be indifferent).

The power plenum design is too polarizing and probably hurting Acura sales (while increasing current owners' exclusivity), especially for all non-TSX Acuras since the grill designs on other Acuras is even more polarizing/ugly.

^^Yeah, I hope that they change the ad voiceover before that starts to run. IMO, "Sports Sedan" would be more appropriate

I don't know...I'm starting to see a lot more around here. Still rare, but nothing like 6 months ago.

Also - I have to admit, while the 1st gen TSX is a good looking car...I wasn't drawn to the model until I saw a 2nd gen. I never noticed the 1st gen on the road before I got my car.

Smoked Rear Lights?

I tried stopping the 'making' video to see what the changes are to the rear lights. It is pretty hard to tell but it looks like the clear sections are smoked now. They did the same thing on the 1G MMC. Can't tell if there are LED's or bulbs.

The front grill looks like the outer frame may be chromed. The NY Auto show pics also look chrome, not a fan of that.

Another screen grab from video showing tail lights for sedan:

Not as good as 09/10; not as bad as I thought it'd be based on wagon rears...

Even if a TSX can drift, it just doesn't look right for the front wheels to be spinning faster than the rears...

lolz, the rear tire of the wagon lifted up causing the front passenger to spin crazy fast. Almost made it a tripod. Plus the wagon looks bouncey as all hell.

I like the old grill too man. It'll be interesting to see if the Modulo sport bumpers will fit onto the new grill cause i'd probably get that to get rid of the off color fogs.

Oh no, the pink look on the rear lights like on the old Accords! UGH I really, really hate that!

I wonder if the turn signals will still be amber then? I don't like red rear turn signals at all (well, red LEDs can be okay but I still prefer amber). Also, I read recently that the U.S. is thinking of adopting a mandatory amber rear turn signal requirement in a few years like some other countries do so that all cars made after a certain date would have to have rear amber turn signals, period.

Man, I hate to sound negative but this is typical Acura/Honda to me: one change comes out better (the new front looks nice from what I can tell) while one change gets worse.

If those lens really are that off-red/pink color, plus the chrome trim on the trunk... I agree these are not changes for the better. I generally don't like a lot of chrome on a car. I think the 09/10 had enough chrome, no need to add more. I guess we'll just have to see how it looks in person. The video is not the best.

Thanks guys for taking those screen shots.

Yeah I'm really worried about the lack of clear on the taillights and the pink look...the wagon is all red as well, so...it's not a stretch to assume that the sedan will be all red/in some spots pink-ish as well.

I'm just hoping that it's a fluke in the way they look on the stills for some strange reason, and they will still be red/clear like the current design.
