2011 Automatic Headlight Sensitivity

This may be a bit too specific a question but does anybody know what could possibly be causing the automatic headlight sensitivity to be so touchy? I came from a 2009 TSX and had it set to "High" and it seemed to only come on when it should (i.e., the sun was setting, tunnel, etc...). I have had to set my 2011 TSX to "min" and it still triggers the headlights at even the slightest shadow. It goes on and off all the time during daylight conditionas and is basically far too sensitively compared to my 2009. And yes, I know I could just use them manually, but I wondered why this would/could have changed between the two cars? Thoughts?

Try putting it onto "High" and see if the scale was reversed?

Set your new TSX to "high" as opposed to "min"...

I just did a test in my driveway, and it seems that when set to "max", the lights come on by just being in the shade. When set to "min", they stay off.

Thats how I would assume it would work as it worked that way on my previous TSX...hmmm...wonder if maybe something is wrong with the sensor?? Oh well...thanks for checking...

you could always do it yourself a solution by covering the sensor in a semi-transparent filter thus making it less sensitive to light

...?

Where is the sensor anyway? In the headlight?

KillerG just found President Obama's new motto in 2012. LMAO
As for the auto light sensitivity i have a '10 and min vs max for me almost the same. Doesn't really bother me though

Hey everyone... I am having a similar issue with my 2010 TSX. My auto headlights are ALWAYS on. Even though they are set to "auto," they never shut off, even in direct sunlight. I looked through my owner's manual and it shows me a step-by-step of how to change the automatic headlight sensitivity, but then in small print it says *Except on the Canadian TSX 4-cylinder model* ... which is the exact model that I have. I do not have that option in my "setup" menu. Does anyone know how to adjust this sensitivity an alternate way on the 2010 TSX Canadian 4-cylinder model? There must be a way... I would hope at least... if not, does anyone have any other suggestions to fixing this? Thanks in advance.
