2010 TSX color discrepancy

I purchased my first Acura (2010 TSX) in late November 2009. Started research on the back-up sensors and found out that my exterior paint color code (B538M - Glacier Blue) is not a 2010 color but a 2009 color . The dealer insists my car is a 2010 model (the car had 18 miles on it when it was delivered), but does anyone know why the paint code is not part of the 2010 color offerings?

In all likelihood, no biggie, it's a holdover, use the 09 color.

Your title will state the correct model year production.

Another way is to look at the vin #.

Specifically look at the tenth digit: 9= 2009 / A=2010

For example: JH4 CU2 F63 A C 014028 (from a dealer in Modesto, CA)

JH4= Honda Motor Co, Acura passenger vehicle

CU2= Acura TSX K24
CU4= Acura TSX V6

9= Model year 2009
A= Model year 2010

C= Saitama Factory in Japan

000001- US Model
800001 - Canada model

Glacier Blue is still available in Canada for the 2010 model year, so probably HMC decided not to import that colour any more late last year. Remember they start producing the new year model in the summer, check your manufacturing date on the door ( I bet it's around 08/09 Aug 2009).

Thanks everyone. Very useful info! I'll check the VIN to verify all the data.

The color might have been dropped early in the 2010 model year too. The initial US color chart (given to me by dealer) had Glacier Blue/Taupe as a combo and I believe it was briefly listed on the website too, but it disappeared shortly thereafter. If any Glacier 2010 were produced, you might have one of the few built.

@JeffS - makes sense! My car is indeed a 2010 Glacier Blue/Taupe TSX (verified VIN). Feeling much better that you mentioned the color was listed on some early 2010 brochures. Nice to be one of a few, plus I totally dig the color as opposed to the Vortex Blue.

+1. A VERY RARE color combo indeed. I would argue that it adds to the value of the car.

Now if i could only say the same for that damn tan rear deck on my black on black '09.... LOL

84502-TL0-G11ZA TRAY ASSY., RR.( GRAY)- $230

84511-TL0-G01ZA COVER, BULKHEAD ( GRAY )-$55

Yeah, what was up with that? Cost cutting or maybe less reflections on rear window?
