i don't know about your car, but in mine, the revs don't drop fast enough, so the car wouldn't be able to take advantage of a short throw shifter (i don't think). also, the gear ratio difference is pretty big in the 1-2 shift, even in the manual, so it would be kind of awkward shifting fast.

Try changing your shift knob to a lower threading aftermarket one, and remove that bottom locking nut....shifting experience will be greatly enhanced! I've had 5 people ask me what kind of short throw shifter I had, 3 of them being Acura employees when I went in for my services.

+1 Stock shifter FTW. Just learn to love it.

i have seen short shifters in RSXs cars. It looks identical to our tsx shifts, maybe try looking for one of them.

uhhh I have 1 picture. I chose the TWM M1 Abrams shift knob because it was weighted (like 450grams or something), and threads down very low. The knob is huge though and people say it looks like an anal bead haha. I love it though..

have you tried short-throw shifters before? Every one I've tried makes it difficult to tell what gear you're in and screws up the shift feel. Leave it stock or get a short knob IMO.

haha on the anal bead. I don't want to know how your friends know.

Sorry if I'm reviving a dead thread, but how would you do this? Would you have to remove the center console then fiddle around under there? I wanna try this; I'm not really excited about the feel of shifter. At times, it doesn't really 'lock in' that great.
