Being an 04 6MT owner, I went today to have a look at the new 2009. First impression was that the TSX is now a 'luxury sedan' and not the 'luxury sports sedan' of the former generation. I didn't drive it, so this is purely based on looks. I bought the TSX I own now when I was 25...and if the TSX as it is now was released back then, I'd be driving something else that has a younger look.

After looking at the 09, I came home and did some looking at the 09 U.K Accord. My oh my how the U.K. (Euro) version looks so much better. Not that it's much different, but that grille sure is! I was also disappointed to find out that the Euro Accord has a few more features that I wished Acura would have used. For example - adaptive cruise control for keeping a distance with the person in front of you, and also Honda's collision mitigation braking system (I think the RL has this?) A couple other gee whiz things are rain sensing wipers, auto-level headlights, and the system that keeps you within your lane - they call it LKAS.

I wonder why Acura didn't incorporate these things? Anyway, you can surf over to honda.co.uk to see what I'm talking about. It'll be interesting to see if the 2010 TSX, when available, has the same grille as the 2009.

As for the extra goodies, remember that in Europe, there is no TL. The next step up is the Honda Legend (our RL). It makes sense that the Euro Accord would have things that are reserved for the TL in the US.
