1 month away. PWP or CBP?
Hey guys, im pretty new to acurazine but love the website as i have been dying for a 2010 TSX. my 17th birthday is around the corner (april 1) and I am weeks away from getting one! Im leaning towards PWP/ ebony or CBP/ebony. I love the OEM body kit but not to sure if my dad will spend the extra $1500+ for it. I have a few mods i've been thinking of.
1. 19 inch rims2. 35% tint
3. Lip spoiler
4. Drop
Heres a photoshop i was workin on with a pair of rims i like and somewhat of a tint.
http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/1038/tsxxxxxx.jpg
what do you guys think? i'd love to get some input from some true enthusiasts.
I'll be sure to post pics when i get the car. thanks everyone

sup dude. FINALLY someone my age turning 18 april 23rd. haha i say go wtih PWP, you have so much more choices to mod when its pwp [paint roof black, black rims, gun metal rims, w/e u want, tint lights, etc] compare to black where theres only certain thing that looks nice, at least IMO

haha yeah thanks thats wat i was thinking. i love a white car, my dad has an '08 aston martin vantage in white with black interior and it is beautiful especially right after a wash.
and TSX131 those wheels are msw type 12's. I found them on tirerack.com...there similiar to the look of the RonJon inspyre's which i love but are a little too pricey for me. for the MSW type 12's there $159 each.

congrats, i remember getting my first TSX when i was 17. I guess we all fall in the "we're lucky" category. Just make sure you appreciate the car you get and not be like some people who I've seen get a 5 series car, get in a car accident, get in another one, and get another 5 series and is dirty and not maintained properly. I say get the White w/Black interior. I have CBP but sometimes I wish I got the white so I can do the black roof overlay. but that's about the only reason y why I want to get a white one.

thanks, i definetly consider myself fortunate. i plan on keeping the car spotless, i skeeve a dity car. i know exactly what your sayin with kids who just get handed cars that cost $50k+ and treat them like garbage or bang them up. A girl in school just got a range rover sport for her 17th birthday and in the month that shes had it i dont think its been washed. makes me sick.

I test drove the 2010 TSX V6 and WOW! its the same size as my 08 TL but much much faster! Congrats!
Nothing wrong with being fortunate as long as you dont take it for granted! My first car was a 1996 Toyota 4runner, back in 2000 and I thought I was the man! Life only gets better with age!

When I was 17 the only car I had was the school bus LOL!
I would go for White with ebony. That's what I have and I like it a lot. BTW, what does your dad do? can he adopt me? lol

im lookin to get my first car too. i do want the sport bumper kit. but i havent really seen any pics to make my decision certain. plus im gonna have a co signer and need to justify the extra costs. im going for the grigio metallic with the taupe interior and wing spoiler. how does that look with the sport bumper kit? and more pics that show it maybe a little more cleared the differences?
also, according to acura.com, you can get each piece of the kit seperately, but i was speaking wiht a sales rep today, and he doesnt believe you can, and would have to get all 4 pieces together. but im just looking to get the front and rear bumpers, not the sides. anyone know this or have had experience with this?

I am pretty sure you can get the kit seperate. A lot of the forum members only have a front or rear bumper and it looks great. As for the wing spoiler, I would rather go with the lid spoiler instead. Looks more classy IMO

If your choices are white and black, you can literally flip a coin and choose like that. Both colors are beautiful and you will have fun modding each one differently. If you get the white, you'll be like "im so glad I got the white." But if you get the black you'll be like "man I love black, Im so glad I chose black." lol

Don't ask the salesman either, ask the parts department, they're the ones that would be ordering and selling it.

I say CBP but I'm kinda biased. There's nothing nicer than a clean black car IMO.
I think white is a pretty hot shade right now but kinda trendy like the RSX/TL type s blue a few years back...black is timeless

Tell him he's an idiot. Then ask him if you got the kit, had a wreck and only damaged the front bumper, if you had to order all 4 pieces again just to replace the front bumper. See what he says then.

im a fan of going all black. basically going stealth at night.
and maybe with a little chrome accents. i like the all black rims with a thin chrome ring around the tire edge and a chrome center. i love how that looks, especially at speed
i used to hate white, but its been growing on me recently. i like the ability to add black around the car

Hey I'm 17 and this tsx is my first car. My parents made me a deal, I pay for the car and they pay for the insurance. My parents bought the car for me new Back in September 08 (and we got a wicked deal 27500 non tech with alot of accessories) and wen I turned 17 a little while ago I paid them $25000 for it!!! All I have to say is that I have saved up for all 17 years not spending a dime of my money that I got from birthdays, Christmases, other special occasions and working for 3 years, etc. Basically all I have to say is: IM FUCKING BROKE!!! LOL. My parents just laid out $2000 for my wheels and tires. Guess where my paychecks that I'm gonna get this summer are going to I LOVE THIS CAR!!!

I would go CBP this time. I have PWP and white gets boring after awhile or maybe that is with every color out there. I had blue mazda6 for 3 years and I loved that color for the time i had that car

Wow, I didn't get a car til after high school, and when I was 17 (after graduation), my first car was a '96 Hyundai Accent (it was 1997), man that car was a piece! Anyways, I say PWP, and I agree on the lip spoiler, it was one of the first things I did, and I love it. Also, the PWP is one of the few colors where the grill doesn't look horrible (my car is Grigio, did not look good with the chrome grill.

MA. Never put my age down...thought some of the older folk might dismiss my posts etc, which is understandable...I could see myself doing the same if I heard of a 17 year old cruising around in a 30 thousand dollar car. I <3 my CU2, though. I'm responsible with it, as well...do my own oil changes and know my baby in and out lol. Have been karting for years and have recently started some HPDE classes including AutoX...having a ball.
My intoduction...a year after joining! haha.
