Wheel gap difference

Hey, I just recently noticed (only had it 3 months) that on my 99 TL there is a significant diff in the gap between wheel well and tire, with respect to front vs back. The back is only about a 2.5 finger gap, while the front is around 4. Is this natural for this car, or do I need to check my springs asap? Thanks

Yes, the front has a bigger gap than the back. Before I put my H&R springs on my TL Type S, I could wedge four fingers plus thumb on the front and four fingers in the back. So yes, that is normal..why, I don't know. Perhaps they have more gap in the front to compensate for the heavy engine check this link to my thread where I have pics showing this.

Thanks for the info, but its possible there is a difference between a 99TL and 02TLs. Also, my gap difference is even bigger then your 4 vs 4.5 finger. Time to dust off the skidder.
