What do you guys think about this setup....
I have a chance to pickup a set of these for cheap. Just not sure about the offset.
These are 19" X 7.5" with a 42 offset. What I have heard is for a 19" wheel you should have somewhere around a 48 offset. I'll be wrapping them in a 235/35/19 tire. These would go on a 02 type-s WDP. What do you guys think about the fit and look?

There a wheel made by ADR... There not light racing wheels. I have owned a couple and their a nice wheel for the street. I've hit a few potholes to put them to the test...

I dunno... i've seen those wheels on accords and civics too much these days to want to say yes to something like this... I'm sure there better selections out there for the same price.

I can pick these up Brand New from a friend of mine for $600 w/ tires. Theres not another wheel out there for that price. The offset is what has me concerned about how they will sit. Whether or not they be flush or stick out.....

I guess I have always thought the more brake you see the better.... They would chop....Would do you guys think about having a 42 offset?

Are you planning to drop the car? What springs/coilovers?
And just an FYI, the offset has little to do with the diameter of the wheel and everything to do with the width.
A 7.5" wheel should ideally have a +45 to +48 offset. +42 with a 235 series tire will tend to rub in the rear which hopefully can be remedied by trimming the tabs in the wheel well.

With the 7.5" rim I was actually planning on a 225, I had thought before it was a 8".I'm trying to keep it stock ride height. I been driving lowered Hondas for 10 years and really don't want to get into all the suspension issues (camber kits, adj ball joints, heavier control arms) just to get it aligned.
I am the biggest fan of a lowered car, and will probably end up in that boat, but if I can I would like to fill up those fender wells with some nice wheels.....
I saw some wheels similar to these on a TL in the pics section and I dont think they look all that great. I think it looks like to heavy of a car for the little spokes....![Dunno](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)
This is what I have always tried to go by:
7.5" rim 45 offset
8.0" 48
8.5" 50

Yes, a drop is a must, even for stock wheels/tires IMO. Since dropping my car on HR Sports, I really love the look. The ride is not as smooth as stock, but close. My alignments for the last two years have always been within spec. Now that my springs are probably completely settled, I am about 8/10s degree out of spec in the rear. I'm considering a camber kit for the rear only since the fronts are still well within spec. My camber kit won't be a problem with my stock wheel/tire combo..but my 19x8's with 235 tires and 45 offset will really rub once I straighten up the camber angle..sigh

Not for the TL. The body of the car is too big for a thin spoked wheel like that. Try getting something with a lip and wider spokes then you can pull it off.

How much did the H&R's drop it?... The thing I'm trying to get away from is all the fuggin headaches of a lowered car. The rubbing, the alignment, camber kits, adjustable ball joints, heavy control arms, etc..... I have been driving lowered Hondas for 10 years and when you lower a car, over time it puts some major wear on all the suspension. Now a few of my rides have been on the ground, so they were a little more extreme than most. I'm sure this one will get dropped just a couple iches one way or another.....

if you don't want to worry about camber issues, don't slam your car to the ground. however, anytime you lower your car, you should get an alignment. i have the same exact car as you and lowering it 1.5in looks really good and you don't have to worry about camber wear issues. if you want something really good, get either the tein basics or the ss. with the ss, you can adjust the dampening to how you like it. hope this helps.

I have always had the alignment perfect on my accord. I had four different sets of coilovers on it, but I always have lower my cars the right way. Thats when you get into the all that damn money. But theres nothing that looks better than some tuck, tuck.....Can you post up some pics of the ride? I'm going to drop mine before the wheels come, and would love to see what see would look like....
