wanli tires?????? very inexpensive
I was looking for tire pricing and one of the salespeople was suggesting Wanli tires.
on the tire size i am looking for, they were $ 142 each Canadian!! (225/40/18).
I did a search on the net and did not found much BUT there were more good reviews about it than bad (the few that i found). I believe they are made in china and the thread pattern is in par with some pretty good brand names. Has anybody here bought these???

I have also seen quite a few of these tires on ebay....and the treads look AGGRESSIVE. I did a quick google and found a page where they give their opinions on them http://www.openroad.ca/volkswebbin/v...p?id=63996&p=1 seems overall people find them to be good tires.

Wanli tires are basically the tires you usually get from those wheel websites that offer cheap wheel/tire packages. From that basis alone, I would go for something more expensive. For $40 more, you could get tires that are a lot better, such as Toyos, Continentals, Yokohamas, or other good brands, so why take that risk?

i do not suggest you go with 225/40/18, the load rating is not enough
225/45/18 is the closest to the stock diameter, while you can do 235/40/18, which is same as the new A-Spec tire size
if u want budget tires Kumho 711 and 712 will be the choice, 711 is summer and 712 is all season, but since u have 2 sets of tires i think u can go with summer ones

Not to blast anyone, but why do people bust a nut to buy bigger wheels then proceed to buy the absolute cheapest (quality not price) tires they can find?

Fuzion ZRi is available in 235/40ZR18 and should be around the same price of the Khumo ecsta 712. However, my cousin who work in a tire shop test-tried each other on the same car on the same car on the same tire, and the Fuzion is a lot grippier, give much more feedback and can sustain hard driving. So according to my cousin and a buddy of mine who rides on khumo 712, The grip of these is much more comparable to Bridgestone afforbale H-rated tires (Fuzion HRi and Dayton Daytona HR)

A tire is a Tire it all depends on what your going to do with these tires like for me since i live in Boston i only drive on my rim tires for aboout 8-10 Weeks so i dont really need nothing special but if the tires are going to be in use for more then half ther year i would go with Toyo or Goodyear

225/40/18 sport look
235/4018 comfortable feel
what would happen because of the load rating??? (mmmm....)

I would recommend searching Tirerack.com to see peoples reviews before you buy anything, I was looking at 225/35/19 Pirelli P Zero Nero's that retail for $225 a tire. I purchased a set 4 brand new on ebay last week for $550 shipped. You need to research and getting a good tire is key especially when your investing in a set of wheels.

if the load rating is below ur car's requied, then it's easier to blow
most 225/40/18 tires are only 88 rating, our car needs 91 or more at least
stock is 93

Wanli tires are made by a company in Taiwan. A lot of people cant carry them anymore because they were sued by yokohama for copying their avs line.
Ive heard very good reviews from my friends. I would buy them if you were on a budget but dont expect t1-s performance.

Too expensive to try out all the tires available, but I once had Aurora tires due to an emergency, and those things bubbled up like a bitch. I finally got Toyo Proxes 4, and those things are the best in my opinion. Low cost, low road noise, mad grip, and they are VERY durable. Take it from me, i have 19" in NYC. Toyos till I die!

Toyo tires, well at least the T1-S has to be one, if not the best Ultra-High performance tire available on the market today. I would have gone with the Proxes 4 but they're not available in 275/35-18.

Like Sam said, you need to pay attention to the load rating. If the sidewalls are thinner than stock without proper reinforcement, then you could potentially have a blow-out if the car is loaded up, and/or hit a big bump or something.
My new wheels will be riding on 235/40/18 Toyo T1-S tires. The sidewall is thinner than the stock tires by half an inch, but it's reinforced with the rating of 95. Stock is 93.
