vibration in front
while driving, in that certain speed, put it in neutral, dont press gas, see if u feel it in neutral, then back in drive. if u dont then its ur axles. if u still feel it, look somewhere else, wheel bearing, tires/rims
I have never had a problem with the axel of my car, so I don't know how to trouble shoot this, but I could give you some suggestions as to what else could be happening too.
1st a couple of questions:
1. Does your car vibrate when you brake from high or slow speeds at all?
Y-> Could be warped rotors, in the case of braking...
A shaking steering wheel means it is probably the front rotors.
A shaking brake pedal could mean the rear rotors.
2. Does your car's steering wheel vibrate during the drive?
Y-> Probably an issue with the front of the car, tires or rims.
3. Does your feel like it is shaking in general, like the body of the whole car or is there a vibration/shaking from your seat during the drive?
y-> Probably an issue with the rear of the car, tires or rims.
Make sure to have the tires balanced out and that all the lug nuts are tightened down to 80 lbs of torque as anything above that will eventually warp the rotors, also make sure all the tire p.s.i. is the same too!
What are the conditions of your tires, are they new, old, do they have uneven treadwear, check the shoulder of the tires and make sure they aren't worn out or bad.
Also one last question, are you on stock suspension or lowered at all? Just trying to get an idea of what kind of ride quality you are experiencing.

My car had a vibration on acceleration that turned out to be the passenger side axle.
The way I verified this was to pick the car up and turn the axle side to side. I had play in both directions.
Replaced the axle all is well.

Not exactly sure. The shop I use did it, they are a Toyota shop that I have used for years for my Landcruiser.
They only use oem Toyota on Toyotas. It is a new part and they gave me the old one so there was no core which sounds to me like OEM.
Feels good without the vibration.

how much did it cost you? im having the same problem after i recently got a new set of rims this vibration started. i just put hub centric rings on it today that GREATLY reduced the vibration but around 60 mph i start to feel it again.
i hope its not the axles.
i hope its not the axles.
i took my car in thinking my transmission was going bad and they told me it was my axles being bent..the car is slammed on the ground which they said didn't help and if i hit potholes that were bad it would def not help either. if you have your car dropped and no camber kit it probably doesn't have the weight distributed evenly and could be putting more pressure on the axles..
the dealership told me the after market parts would cost about 180 a piece 280 installed..the OEM could be upwards of 700.. they did say the after market ones would work fine. i have found a set off another thread someone used that cost 98 a piece..
i know how to remove and put on my suspension and he said if i knew how to do that i shouldn't have any problems putting the axles on myself.

thats exactly what i have i think that may be my problem. i dont have a camber kit for the front. i just put on hub rings today and that helped a little. the main problem was that i needed hub rings now i think the weight isnt being distributed evenly or at least i hope thats what it is.
i feel like there is a list of things that make the axle bend..and dropping the car no camber and if you drive like me the stress on my car haha..cause i drive like its an indy car..ill be replacing the axles..installing a camber at the same time..and possibly replacing any bearings so it will be in good shape for awhile..i plan on keeping the car forever and if i keep it lowered and i doubt Atlanta will be fixing their potholes anytime soon so i imagine i might have this issue later on in life..but im gonna try to stop that from happening
