I thought about trying to find some MMC 1G TSX wheels, but I'm leaning more toward dropping the TL in the not too distant future.

Yeah, the lowered TL's and upsized rims really look sweet on our 2nd Gen boulevard cruisers.

Yea man im thinking about dropping it. Im on the brinks of getting lowering springs. But people are telling me im going to be bouncing around everyday lol i dont know if thats true with lowering springs lol i would get coilovers but they are just tooo much! I would get some slightly used ones tho. Im just waiting for that moment to see what comes up.

If you had cut springs you'd be bouncing around. Get reputable brand sprinds and youre good although your oem shocks will go out quicker so i say save up and just get real coilovers. They range from 600-1k for a nice set
Looks like youre running 45-50 series tires. There should be 3 sets of numbers om the side of the tire, go see what they are. Should look something like 225/45/17

I have the same wheels on my '99, wrapped in 225/50R17 Hankooks and aside from needing a 2" drop it looks great! A nice touch (I think, anyway) was that I noticed the TSX centercap logo were printed on plastic whereas the oem 16" centercap logo were recessed and then painted black... Some masking tape, a razor blade, primer, color, and patience were all it took to make them absolutely pop! I went with red. This is an older pic but they still look great!

Heye everyone, brand new to the forum and just got myself a 2003 TL 3.2 I'm white and am considering all kinds of new wheels.
Anyway, these were among the list I've made up for myself. I can't for the life of me find 2G Type S rims, so I've been looking at different TSX rims.
I must say, they look better than I thought in my head. So these are at the top of my list as of now. Thanks for the pics guys.

Look for a PM shortly, although its not at all difficult. As far as mods I've done, the list is short yet effective;
* 17" TSX wheels wrapped in Hankooks (Yea, we all already knew that, just taking my turn at being "Captain Obvious")
* Black Mesh Grille, sporting the "Floating A" proud!! (Hit the DIY section, easier than you'd think)
* LED Lighting upgrades to interior & auxiliary wiring (but NOT to the gauges, its more than a simple bulb swap to do properly, apparently),
* 6000k HID bulbs, stock ballasts & etc, (OEM bulbs are 4300k according to what I've read here, and I should've listened to what I read and got the 5000k bulbs instead, because mine are now certainly blue)
* Angel Eye/Cat Eye(idk their official title, but you see them on everything now) LEDs on top edge of headlights-**see avatar**
* ACURA logo ghost laser projector LED doohickies under the front door panels and under rear bumper
* Intake Resonator removal, K&N filter in stock airbox, driver side foglight area drilled for "cooler" air entry to airbox (the DIY section covers this wonderfully, except the drilled out part, I did that on a whim)
* Stage 1 exhaust a.k.a. Mid-Muffler Delete (Yes, you should do it)
* Chrome Shifter Gate plate, with a chrome shift ball replacing my worn out oem one (looks rather Ferrari-esque IMO), DIY covers how to do it I think (and the cool thing is 99's are the only ones able to do it!)
* Custom VTEC/SOHC decals on lower rear doors
* Custom Type-S Badge (It matched the theme)
* Fair share of vinyl decals throughout (personal fave is a tie between the drivers side outside mirror; "Objects In Mirror Are Losing" and the "+10hp/Patent Pending" on the rear window)
Other than all of that, I just like to keep her running as nice as possible whilst on a budget, 223k on her as of this afternoon!!

White rims=Rice In my opinion. Saw a prelude slammed the other day looked great than saw the white rims and said ugh.
Buy a bottle plasti dip and spray your rims white. Worse thing that could happen is you hate them and peel them off.

Here they are in the daytime, high noon(ish), not overly noticeable, but there nonetheless. They're wired into the parking light circuit, and therefore add to the lock/unlock light show quite nicely when coupled with the LED projector that I have under the rear bumper.... Been thinking of running a similar strip under the headlight housing as well, kinda outline the headlights...
Anyone have Any Thoughts on that?
