Tire Rubbing Has Caused A Problem

Well I have had my car dropped on Tein S.Tech for awhile now. Just today my friend noticed something, the plastic wheel well thing, is coming off. The grommet on the top has came off. I felt the metal right above the tires where the grommet goes in and holds the plastic thing in place and it is bent inwards. I don`t know what to do, it looks really messy with the plastic thing hanging down from the metal fender line thing. Does anyone know how to fix this? It happened on both sides.

Are you running stock wheels?

No I am not. But I am running my stock tires on the wheels. They are 16"s, and fit my old tires which were on the stock wheels. So I am sure it is the right dimensions, no?

Mine also rubs on the front when I am turning and hit a bump. I would say the stock shocks cant respond quick enough with the lowering, so aftermarket shocks may be the best way to go for you

Yeah. But rubbing isn`t the problem right now. I just need to find a way to somehow make it so that the plastic wheel well cover thing isn`t hanging off of the fender. It looks really ugly. Does anyone know how to fix this? I just bought some new grommets to fit it back in but the grommets won`t snap in because the metal that holds it is bent inwards. It`s just hanging there. My friend said to super glue it but I can`t because I have side markers installed and I need access to the back of the fender for the wires.

How about using rivets to hold it in place

Bend the sheetmetal back into place then pop the clip back in.

Most auto parts stores carry rivet guns with an assortment of different rivet sizes.

I have the same problem on small bumps or dips when I'm turning.. it isn't much... But I'm putting on my eibach sways tomorrow, hoping that it will stiffen up the front just enough to prevent the slight rub I have front.... i'll let you know.

Okay, thanks blokhead. How much are sways btw? And bending the sheetmetal back into place, how would I do this? This thing is pretty hard to bend back into place.
