for those with 225/50/17 tires on TL-S rim

i'm in the market for tires and was wondering if there is any visual difference between the stock TL-S 215/50 tire and the 225/50 tire? obviously, i would like to get 225's for the wider look but if there isnt any, then i'll just go for 215's. can someone post a pic of the rear of a TL that has 225/50 tires? thanks!

The difference (.4") would be hardly noticable. One benefit would be that the extra height of the tire would fill up any fender gap, that is if you're not dropped already.

I'm going to buy a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 in 225/50YR17. Tirerack has em for $155 a piece and until mid June, Goodyear is giving out $100 cash cards for a set purchase.

Quick question: Will going with an oversize tire void the warranty on the tranny?

Hey, I know people that had hard times with warranties because they received service from places other than the dealership.

It's a legit question.

Your speedometer will not be accurate though - just a little bit slow.

yeah, i think it'll be off by 1 mph or so. not too much of a difference. besides, getting into my older years, speeding isn't in my blood these days.
